I’ve killed HH 247 times this year without seeing his mount once. I offer gold for people to spawn him and I summon them in one by one.
Is it possible that:
- the loot table is snapshotted by instance ID and I’m spending dozens of kills with potentially no mount on the table?
- the fact I’m doing this in a raid group bugging this out? All his other loot is dropping… believe me I’ve seen it enough times!
There’s a non-zero chance of this occurring of course. With each failed attempt though that chance is vanishingly smaller and smaller.
How can I learn more about how the mount roll is determined and if I’m getting a “fair” shake of RNG?

I’ve only ran a handful of times and haven’t seen the mount. However I have seen the Barons course on my fresh server. #jealous

Mount is extremely rare. Over the course of my life I’ve probably done it a couple thousand times.
There is currently a guy on Grobbulus paying 5k for the mount and having people run him through it. He is counting and its over 1k runs already.
I have done the horseman event every year since they put it in the game in retail and have never seen the mount drop once. I´m not sure what the drop rate is on it but you are not alone. Good luck and I hope you get it to drop!
This is nuts! Last year I ran it with some mates each day and saw two drop inside of ~60 attempts!
Did Blizz nerf the drop rate heavily with WOTLK?
In over 15 years I’ve played I have never seen it drop once.
No idea how it works other than you are super extremely lucky to even see it drop at all.
Seen is maybe 3 times in all my years of playing. Won it once on main in retail. So it does exist lol.
I got the mount on the new “Maladathsomething” server. 2 days ago, now im not seeing anyone buying peoples chances anymore 
i was hoping once i had it, i could see my summoning chance lol
no…but it is possible that 1% doesn’t mean, for every 100 kills you will see 1 mount.

It’s a rare epic mount. You can kill him 1,000 times and not see it. I’ve seen it 1 time while trying to farm for the normal items. Still haven’t gotten my rogue’s sword. Lost it to a DK. These groups are full of plate classes thanks to the helmet.
Ive seen the mount once, the sword once and no helm. I think my rng is cursed this year. Last year i got all the loot except the mount. Ive run this 5x a day since start and only have a ring on my dk. Computerized rng seems to get stuck sometimes.
If, according to wowhead, the drop rate is 0.31%. in 247 times of running it, there is an approximately 46.4% chance you will have never seen it (0.9969^247). A little more than half the people would have. No clue if their drop rate is accurate, but you’re definitely not an outlier in your experience if it is correct. Even if you do it 1000 times, there’s still a 4.5% chance you wouldn’t have seen it yet.

Every single year people ask about the drop rates , but rng is rng thats it , no special method just chance
