Headless Horseman Dungeon Way Overtuned

Case in point… taking a Holiday dungeon and giving it a “hard mode” with curse affixes.

EXACTLY MY POINT. Is that necessary? FFS, can we not have the end game toxic meta trickle into every aspect of gameplay? Especially ones that are supposed to be fun?

Didn’t know there was an esports or leaderboard or rating for the Headless Horseman.

he has actual mechanics now. you have to gasp move slightly left or right sometimes! and, the horror, step out of fire patches!!!

No, you just need 4 people to not stand in the bad. My highest toon is a 604, with NO Mythic score and we killed him in 1 min 43 seconds. You just need to get your healer to start healing and stop DPSing and get your DPS to not stand in the bad… and hopefully the tank moves him around a bit in case he actually hits phase 3 twice.

The only point I proved is you didn’t understand a word I said before. Hopefully this time it all gets read and helps sink in a bit.

Which only gets activated if someone clicks it, which is why running with friends to make sure NO ONE clicks it is just what you need since obviously a minor curse is a HUGE issue. I am not even a Mythic geared gamer and actually HATE M+, and all 5 runs today were smooth as silk, even with the curse. I swear at this point you are trolling, and you got me.

I ran on 10 just to get the candy and boss died in 60seconds on all 10 toons

Interesting. Might have to run it to see exactly what the horseman does now. Does it drop anything new now? Besides the same ole helm, sword, and rings.

Yeah, OP is either trolling, or just bad.

There was definetly something weird going on. I remember doing it last year with hardmode on and it was so easy. I went in earlier today and picked hardmode thinking it would be the same. Was healing as resto druid both times. I was spam healing like crazy and health bars were not budging. I was not expecting that. The tank died twice and two other people. Managed to finish it with just myself and the mage. At one point the rogue ran out nowhere near the boss and I had full hots on him, popped trinkets and was spamming regrowth and his health was not moving. Idk what buffs or debuffs hardmode enables but it definetly feels much different than last year.

It’s optional tho. I ran it 2x earlier nobody turned on the affix. It was incredibly easy like every other year.

This is the problem I’ve run into. I generally main healers and health bars weren’t moving & DPS were getting one shot by mechanics. It’s supposed to be puggable, but it kind of isn’t right now.

Edit: Had an easier time doing it on my 70 HPriest than my 80 HPriest, l m f a o.

I ran it on several characters to fully unlock the mog in one day.

It does a lot of damage from avoidable mechanics and the boss hit my tanks with low ilvls very hard, but none of my groups wiped. :man_shrugging:

I took more damage on my 80 evoker with no affixes than every other 80 I ran it on with full affixes, despite my evoker being the most geared. Literally got 2 shot by the flame puddles on the ground during a deep breath.

The affixes are completely optional. It’s honestly not that hard to move out of the bad stuff. If you truly think it’s so hard maybe try with guildies or not run it. As many others have said it’s not hard or overtuned. Just have to “gasp” do actual mechanics instead of face rolling.

Don’t stand in the fire cones and you won’t get one shot. It’s super telegraphed.

There’s a hard mode? How do you get it?

Right at the start, you’ll see a bunch of wickerman. Talking to them activates curses that makes it harder (but actually has made it easier on every other 80 I’ve done it on)
