Talanji - Although a late entry, she has shown that she can rule a continent-wide empire and can deal with dissent
Who else do you think would take over the Horde and why?
Horde is adopting a council system.
Thrall is likely going to lead the orcs. Rokhan is going to be named Chieftain of the Darkspear. We don’t know who’s leading the Forsaken, but it won’t be Calia or Derek. That was recently confirmed in an interview.
Lor’themar Theron because he has the looks, experience and intelligence.

This game’s world building suffers when there isn’t defined leadership.
I don’t care who leads the Forsaken. I just want someone who is clearly occupying the role.
Everything in 8.3 says it’s Calia and Derek. If that plan got changed because of outrage, then the Forsaken are sitting in limbo until they come up with someone else.
Calia isn’t going to be the Forsaken leader.
Also, the horde is doing a cancel. So no warchief going forward

I feel like I have to point out that all Ion said was that she’s not joining the Horde.
Leading the Forsaken but not joining the Horde? I’m not sure about that.
I think it’s more likely that she and Derek are going to take the undead night elves and get dumped in a memory hole.

The undead night elves show up in 8.3 too. Lilian brings Delaryn and several other undead Sentinels to Calia for zombie therapy.
You clearly haven’t played Horde this expansion if you think tbe last time he was relevant was in pandaland.
