HC PvP Server PLEASE

She’s not wrong, HC PvP servers are a stupid idea.

Nobody is playing a HC pvp server. Use critical thinking skills.

If there are so many HC players who want HC PvP, how come there’s not a large group playing this way on any of the Era PvP servers? Unless there is…?

Lol at OP’s original post. Good luck even surviving to level 10 much less level 20 with PVP server rules. Pffft…

I love it.

Lol.

Yea, it’ll be popular for a few days then die because people realize HC and PVP don’t mix… but you know, believe whatever you wanna believe.

Yeah. Once people realize there is no pvp till level 25ish being hillsbrad etc, and then dying instantly to 5 people or a skull player they’ll have to deal with sunk cost fallacy pretty quickly.

Nobody wants to gain 25 levels to get killed instantly or kill 2 people then get killed right after and back to Elwyn.

HC pvp servers should not exist. I’m not sorry either. It’s all in your imagination

Might be entertaining to watch how fast the server dies though

What dies quicker. HC pvp or a HC ssf server. Tough choice

If blizzard is listening… hardcore pvp players, {full loot pvp players}, are some of the most dedicated and long lived, fervently supportive and outspoken niche communities that exist. While it is true that there is a MUCH larger casual audience, you are already appealing to the population that isn’t casual. Just try a hardcore PVP server, you don’t even need to invest in making a bunch of rulesets or changes, just let people that already played PVP only on your game play PVP and hardcore together. The duel to the death is an awesome step in that direction, but it isn’t the same as knowing when you’re trying to get to a dungeon or level in a contested zone that you can run into a fight at any time and it’s outside of your ability to anticipate. I do understand that many people do not like the idea of getting into an unfair fight and losing their character but that is why you have PVE servers to begin with. I still remember the first time I played when the game launched and I ran into a raid of low levels trying to get into auberdine and there were just skeletons littering the road. and you know what? I got killed! It is one of my favorite memories of this game. I do not remember the thousand times I queued up for a BG or dueled I remember the handful of times there was a massive wave of alliance trying to run into Tarren Mill, and I remember the handful of times the horde was trying to raid ironforge. I remember sneaking onto a zeppelin as a human, I remember escaping from groups of players in ashenvale. This game was always designed for PVP and conflict we’re just asking for 1 server where it can be both hardcore and have PVP.

HC PvP

you’d be playing all by yourself by the end of the first month.

I agree with the Rock Ape

This server would be 97% hunters, with a huge advantage to Night Elves. If you left in the other HC rules there would be virtually none of certain classes

HC PVP might be the worst ask from players I’ve seen yet

don’t you dare put HC pvp and HC ssf on the same level :expressionless:

This is exactly what I’m talking about, I think WoW Vanilla’s pvp (world pvp) has been unrepeatable and irreplaceable, what pvp players today are looking for is greater risk. We want a single HC PvP server, unlike most of these commenters I think that server will have more longevity than any other. Certain rules could be added, such as only being allowed to kill you by another player within honorable kill range. However, with or without those rules, I would still play it, and I would reroll thousands of times with delight, I would play with my friends, we would think about strategies, because we like PvP, and especially World PvP. No one is saying that their PvE servers would be affected.

Finally, if they say that they will have a low population, it will make it more difficult for you to have recurring PvP encounters, and you could level up without problems, but with the feeling of risk of being attacked.

The problem with PvP is how toxic the wow player base actually is, all things considered is that Blizzard is extremely aware of how we act towards one another. And this right here is what will happen.

Gameplay, Zone Disruption, and malicious player killing outside of consensual PvP will not be tolerated on Hardcore realms.

By this, we mean deliberate action to hamper or significantly impede the ability of other players to enjoy the game, such as (but not limited to) repeatedly killing quest NPCs or kiting important quest mobs far away from their spawn location to prevent them from being killed.

Most importantly, this also includes taking actions to deliberately cause the death of another player, such as (but not limited to) kiting higher level or elite mobs onto or near other players with the intent that they take damage and die, or deliberately causing a wipe in a raid or dungeon group. This is not a PvP realm, and the normal PvP realm rules do not in any way apply to this realm. Outside of a normal Duel to the Death, consensual PvP flagging, or Wargames killing other players isn’t the core goal of Hardcore gameplay. If players are found to make it their goal to take part in this kind of disruptive style of play, we reserve the right to take immediate and decisive action against anyone found to be deliberately causing this disruption to other players on these realms, including permanent account closure.

On the flip side to this, “report bombing” or intentionally using the ruleset against players to attempt to get their account actioned will also be met with equally harsh penalties. Deaths can and will happen in normal gameplay, and retaliation or resorting to bullying, abuse, or malicious reporting for normal gameplay deaths are not appropriate. For example, if you are in a dungeon group and the tank ends up taking too much damage and dies despite the efforts of the healer in the group, it’s not appropriate for someone to report the healer. While that death is unfortunate, it is legitimate gameplay, and the best thing to do is remain understanding and empathetic, learn what lessons you can from the situation, and try, try again.

Ultimately, it’s critical to the health of these realms that players play nice and play fair with one another, and we will take any hostile or abusive actions that occur between players very seriously. Upon character creation, you will be prompted to agree to both the hazards of hardcore realms and that death is permanent and irrevocable, as well as the rules around behavior between players.

As with any new development, we’ll be keeping a close eye on player behavior during the test phase and adjust as needed. We want WoW Classic Hardcore to be a fun and challenging experience for anyone who wants to jump into the action.

If you make a character on a PvP server, you are consenting to essentially anything that doesn’t involve unintended game mechanics so none of that applies. This is especially true of HC, since it’s impossible to be camped and wiping TM/SS, BB or wherever is dangerous for the gankers as well.

You don’t understand how bad players actually can be. Are you remotely aware of what happened when it came to classic eras honor system release? The game became unplayable and what shouldn’t have happened is players transferring off by the thousands to a far safer option.
