Fel Vulnerability
Eye Beam debuffs targets with Fel Vulnerability, causing targets to take 10% increased Chaos damage. In addition, your attacks deal damage as though they are Chaos damage for 8 sec.
Basically, Eyebeam will make the target hit take 10% extra chaos damage from all your attacks for 8 sec. This will make current Mastery more valuable pending how often you can Eye Beam.
Let’s not. What needs to happen is that spenders, Immolation Aura, and throw glaive need to be converted to chaos damage to prop up the mastery.
It’s pretty dumb Immolation aura is fire damage and a spender like blade dance is physical. It completely degrades mastery. The spells by themselves should scale well, not just when eyebeam is available.
I guess you could call it a half talent, because it can’t be used with demon blades right now since they are in the same row. That leads me to believe my wish will come true. Run demon blades and insatiable hunger for that less boring gameplay style.
I mean, it’s how Illidan plays in HoTS, much better if you ask me than spamming Demon’s Bite.
Instead, they should delete Demon’s Bite and baseline Fracture as our builder. Less carpal tunnel, just like how they had to change rockbiter for enhancement shaman in Legion and the result was better.
Vengeance plays much better with Fracture, for reference. And it makes Demonic Appetite a viable talent.
My favorite build is Felblade+DB+first blood+Glaive Storm+Demonic. If Demonic no longer has to compete with Fel Barrage and other active abilities, the spec will feel much more fleshed out.
Nobody likes a 3 button spec, and the people who want forced displacement with fel rush momentum builds are niche at best. Momentum would be a lot better if fel rush stopped at your primary target and detonated an aoe damage around it. Any target who’s not primary target gets passed through. If you have no target selected, Fel Rush passes through any target in its path.
I feel the class would be better off with damage removed from Fel Rush and momentum gone. Positioning is very important and depending on encounter can be much more difficult whilst your rogue friend just sits in place and still does competitive DPS.
Demonic has to stay, it’s very cool and people like demon form.
Eye Beam either needs a Critical strike chance to bonus damage modifier or not auto crit as it devalues crit rating completely.
Metamorphosis as a 4min cool down is ridiculous IMO, and to better balance Demonic Meta, I’d like to suggest additional powers for the actual Metamorphosis ability.

Leap into the air and land with explosive force, dealing XChaos damage to enemies within 8 yds, and stunning them for 3 sec. Players are Dazed for 3 sec instead.
For the next 10 seconds all your abilities are empowered. In addition to gaining 25% haste.
Fel Rush → Cool down reduced by 50%. Demon Bite → Applies Burning Wound legendary effect. Chaos Strike → No change needed Death Sweep → Deals chaos damage Eye Beam → Your demon soul casts eye Beam allowing the demon hunter to continue attacking and moving. Immolation Aura → Deals instant chaos damage on activation and chaos damage over time.
I’d personally prefer Metamorphosis be given the baseline PvP talent halving the duration and cd so it’s a 2 min CD, and merge the old chaos blades bonus into it.
Big proponent of allowing eyebeam to scale with crit chance for bonus crit damage just like chaosbolt and lavaburst.
hmmm… Just gave me an idea… But I need to test it…
Essence Break/Momentum, with Chaos Theory and Either Blazing Slaughter or Agony Gaze. With First Blood and/or ToR… Essence Break gives 40% Momentum another 15% Right? Yeah 15%. then on Chaos Theory procs, another 40% thats 95% and run Theotar for the Mastery buff… im at 22.4% Mastery add 30% thats 54% …i might be on to something… I may need the help of Rextroy
This can possibly be a nice yet very powerful build, though, This might be a nice Necrolord build

Essence Break/Momentum. Fel Blade; Demon Blade with First Blood.
You can run NF with Blazing Slaughter youll get the extra UBC but thats it.
Running Venthyr you choose Theotar that gives you Soothing Shade which buffs your Mastery up the wazoo, to the point to where we actually do something lol.
Chaos Theory and Agony Gaze for Legos, this gives you the Sinful Brand at least for 8 to 15 seconds with the Eye Beam, Yes this will have to be applied more often versus everything else.
99% Damage buff to all damaging abilities with a Mastery buff that hopefully buffs anything with Chaos Damage further. Just, theres a lot of RNG.
both of you do know that if the tier was the old tier, you’ll still run cycle of hatred with chaos theory to maximize brand. right? and it would be weaker than the current meta build and tier by a fair bit PLUS the amount of rng due to chaos theory on top of cycle.
The real gain in strength of this tier for Havoc was the double legendary and in Venthyr specifically.
We would play exactly the same build as we are playing at moment, ignoring the bonus set. The only change that I could see happening was us playing Chaos Theory instead of CA.
We wouldn’t be playing First Blood or Essb in any situation.
The reason why I dislike this build is because of Demon Blades replacing our builder. Havoc already has too few buttons and I don’t get why they decided we should loose one. Any way, I want to actively build my ressource, and I dont want my main active builder to be also a gap closer. I don’t want my movement abilities in my rotation, it kills their use as movement abilities. Although I could accept it if fel rush was purely for movement.
I guess Demon Blades could be good if they were giving a smaller amount of fury passively on top of your main builder. But I don’t like the way it is now, I don’t like passively looking at my fury bar filling up, the same way I don’t like immolation aura passively doing so much of my damage while I stand next to enemies. They should nerf immolation aura and buff blade dance and other active aoe abilities. If they want to make immolation aura interact with our active abilites, instead of hindering our mobility with unbound chaos, they should make it so blade dance applies a fire dot to all enemies it hits if you use it while immolation aura is active.
Moreover, on top of glaive tempest being made actually pickable by not making it compete with more powerful talents, they should make throw glaive actually do dps, and give it a choice node that makes it either bounce to more targets or hit your main target multiple times, exacty like the current avengers shield talent in the prot paladin tree.
