the fine line between conflating simple and unintuitive, the weird dh haters that are still mad about legion era dh would break their keyboards playing it now, but even then, asking for buffs doesn’t imply always making it easier for no reason, and neither does making it more intuitive, we just want it to make sense, make it make sense
I don’t know, I’d say Shadowlands was the perfect balance when I had the hunt, but legion version was too easy in a boring way
The problem is that they never stopped, and always gave positive FB when they put a new cap on the ceiling, in the end we ended up in this, because they didn’t go to another class that already had the level of complexity they wanted (like the rogue). Now we are in this situation where even they can’t stand it anymore and it’s only their fault, because the Devs just followed the trend.
I don’t recall it being boring. Perhaps it’s because I had just returned from hiatus since Cata. Saw the mage tower challenges and heard Legion was good so came back for all of that.
I also had fun with SLs hunt (season 3?). I preferred Venthyr build but that was for the blood soul vials in the dungeons and I personally found upkeep of Sinful Brand more fun.
I fell in love with DH when the hunt became a thing and was praying they would keep it, my fave ability now shame it’s kinda weak now lol
It’s very pale compared to what it was. I am still hoping this fix our rotation but apparently they broke havoc during latest patch. Again.
This is what happens when you are made to rely on damage windows, all damage is scaled down to balance out the windows, and we have too many windows, we should never have had more than 1 or 2.
exactly, one interrupting variable and it all falls apart
And our windows are tiny because we have so many. I hope they get rid of so many tiny dps windows. Above poster is right, you hit an interruption or stun and we miss a part of these narrow windows and micro management of half a hundred buffs.
Just give us our eye beam build back in bfa. Shadowlands Hunt / Sinful Brand (even with the borrowed power) felt soooo much more fun to play. DH - When it was simple and not this broken mess.
Yeah I agree! I want a lot of the micro DPS buffs to just be baked into the core abilities, like essence breaks buff take half of it and just put it into blade dance and chaos strike baseline, also I want The Hunt to be a 60sec CD and not require us to line up enemies for the AOE on it but instead do damage in a small AOE radius on impact, I’d like blurr to be buffed to have more DR and I’d like sigils to have precise sigil baseline unless we don’t have a target selected. I’d like our mortal strike to not compete with a defense like deflecting dance… Ect ect ect lol
I agree that havoc DPS needs a massive buff.
I disagree that DH needs to go back to 4 button mouth breathing builds.
You can play this build if you hate Inertia: https://www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/demon-hunter/havoc/fel-scarred/DAOFFFVQRAaBUUYiUBQNVRRUUSYFQVChUCUAEFVVUBE
It sims exactly the same as Inertia depending on your secondary stats etc. Though the throughput is about the same the build has more sustain due to being in Meta more often which feels better to me then hitting like a noodle till burst window is back up.
Either way. Please buff DH.
There doesnt need to be compromise bro it just needs to be balanced how it should. It 100% needs damage buffs. Whether thats in the form of more meta damage and proccing meta or just generic damage buff across the board something needs to be done
In PvP they have no pressure damage and there really isnt anything scary about facing a DH when a ret pally is doing more damage out of wings then a DH in meta.
nobody is asking for it to be easy, make it harder, who cares, if the main reason people dislike things is their difficulty, the answer should be to make it fall in line and viable than easy and awful
Oh I know, I casually play currently but still main DH so I understand where you’re coming from. Hopefully in time they will but I knew this was gonna be the case since BETA
I second this.
