Having to switch between static and dynamic flight is a pain in the back side!

You do not speak for all of us.

For many that like both it is very disruptive to their game play flow.

Yup precisely.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

But as it stand in DF, if you are swapping between flight styles (mounts) so often right now, just to gain one advantage over the other back n forth just for very short period of times that its like a crazy back n forth mini game within itself. And you see right now in the future going into TWW, that doing so, that with a 5 second timer you will be adding like 15 minutes to your game time, because you are swapping so much. You need to calm down a bit with the flip flopping of going back n forth between dragonriding and TBC flying. That is just crazy in how much you are swapping at that point.

Guess what, neither do you speak for all of us. Get that through your head. You seem to think you do some how in every one of these flying topics. And you think you somehow know what the Devā€™s think and say behind closed doors too, with your widely conspiracy theories.

But hey Boo Boo you do you. But I am sure going to do, ME.

It should be instant cast and off the gcd. Just make it dismount you first.

Or let us choose which we want as static flying and skyriding.

Dragon riding is only good for distances, it sucks for short jaunts, so yea, I switch a lot when I dragon ride, but ever since this was uncovered I have removed my dr mounts from my bars entirely and have just been normal flying

Getting used to it now again so I donā€™t have to deal with the 5 second timer, better to just pretend dr doesnā€™t exist

Iā€™ll have to dr my first character, but after that, never again, specially since flight paths are acct bound now

I found ground-only play insanely boring as it took too long to get places! I didnā€™t explore or look for those so-called hidden gems because I was spending so much time just getting to a location! Riding helped a little bit but it was short-lived as it became boring too after a week or so as it was not that much faster than running! Thatā€™s why we jokingly called the game World of Walking as that seemed like all you were doing!

This is my point in a lot of this talk about swapping back n forth so much that its going to add a huge time to everyones play time, I believe that a lot of people will pick a style they feel best with and they will stick with it for the most part. They wont be like swapping every few seconds or minutes between the two. Playing beta there is absolutely no reason to be doing that even once both styles are unlocked.

A person may sometimes find it easier to use one from or their preferred form over the other, but, not like crazy swapping back n forth. Yes I run 40 max level toons, and a lot have either mining or herbing in their professions, the herbing ones are always druids. I have always taken full advantage of their ability to herb in flight mode. I think everyone has always done that. But in the past xpacā€™s when the flight modes was locked away, I still herbed just fine and kept completive enough to do what I wanted to do.

I notice a lot of people see the sky falling when something that they donā€™t like happens or placed in the game, if its changed or not, but when its not at some point they adapt to it until the next xpac then they rally once again for its removal or change. But some do see that what they 1st thought was going to be the end of their world, ends up also not being so earth shattering and didnā€™t effect their game play that much.

Its cool that some like and some dislike different styles of fight. What bothers me is a huge amount of almost a make believe narrative that is now put up every time things happens point fingers here or their in hopes that it just supports the argument that one group or the other is more right. And I really hate when people who never step foot inside Blizzard, much less ever personally talked to a single Dev face to face in their life, thinks they know how that Dev thinks, lives or wants to some how have a vendetta against not only them personally but every single player in WoW.

I mean, 5 seconds is excessive, there is no ifs ands or buts about it

Well, you figured out why people think itā€™s annoying.

No one cares if people swap right now. Thereā€™s been no rampant ā€œexploitationā€ or ā€œabuseā€ of anything.

So why change it now?

If itā€™s a system thing where it needs to be done for swapping controls of hundreds of mounts, then fine. I get it. But try making it shorter if possible. If itā€™s for deterring swapping, thereā€™s no precedent for it, as itā€™s not an issue right now.

My take on this, make people choose how they fly, but only in SW/Org, like WM. Then you can really feel something annoying

I do a lot of mining and herbing. I frequently switch between static and skyriding all the time, because sometimes the node is on a ledge thatā€™s hard to land on on a dragon. Sometimes there arenā€™t any nodes on my minimap, so I switch back to my dragon to find another node or two.

This 5 second cast gets in the way of that and is absolutely pointless.

Right now all I have to do is switch mounts. The cooldown should be the same as it is to cast a mount, not 5 seconds.

This is the way but for people that want both they are being punished. You are indeed a valued member of the WoW community.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

Yea, 5 seconds is so excessive, even mounting back in the day was only 3

"We hear you so we will revert it to 3 seconds. ā€œSee? How generous we are.ā€

That is the BlizZard way of ā€œcompromisingā€.

I am never gonna switch from dynamic, so Iā€™ll just cast ignore pain

What ā€œhidden gemsā€ are actually worth discovering this way? I mean this as a legit question. Is it 1-15 extra resources (like dragon isle supplies)? Itā€™s certainly not been gear or mounts. What value is in these ā€œhidden gemsā€?

I can tell you for a fact, if flying wasnā€™t in the game I, for one, would have quit for sure. Restricting it WoD through SL made me play wow a lot less. It made the beginning of those expansions a complete slog and I hated it.

X to doubt.

Uhā€¦no itā€™s not.

What is the purpose of the 5 second cast to begin with? Why do we need a 5 second cast then an additional mount cast? Itā€™s tedium for literally no reason.

Why are you defending it?

You can play Vindictus if you want a straight line, quick, and fun.

So nothing to address my actual points?

That one statement addressed all of them if you think hard enough.

Iā€™m not one of those easy to annoy, trigger, set off, people. Iā€™ll ruin you with logic. Letā€™s go.
