Systems on top of systems to create busywork is not game play.
I mean that sums it up right?
Yup.
The toggle is there to cause pain to people that like both.

Point noted!
I guess after 20 years of playing this game, I am really used to push this button and wait a few seconds to switch. So personally its not a big deal to me.
Will druid flight for have switchable static and dynamic form?
This design style must be working because it has you coming back for more.
Bliz tried that and lost 5 mil players within three weeks of the announcement.
And I believe you coined the term patchfinder.
So yes I remember this well. They tried to hide the announcement over US Memorial Day weekend hoping there would not be enough push back too.
Yes but there will be a long 5 second cool down between the two to make it as painful as possible for using both.
optional is bestā¦
I was hoping for a new dragon form so we could use either.
You mean a few of you. An absolute minority.
Players kept it in the game by unsubbing en mass when they announced no flying going forward. Enough that they reversed that decision within 3 weeks.
You would have killed the game? Why?
Iāll just leave it on normal flying, itās not that I hate dragon riding I just find less use for it
Always has been. Player choice matters. BlizZard likes to dig in on dumb things like this and like they did with covenants.
Game designed around flying is completely different from how theyād design it if it was only ground mounts. WoDās overworld was actually one of the best in terms of stumbling on secrets, and hidden paths. Flying makes it impossible to add these in a any meaningful way because people will just flight hop to each POI, thereās no reason for roads or off the path hidden gems. If you were forced to enjoy a more full world without flying, I donāt think anyone would have quit. And if they did, I bet 90% would come back after they were done mourning flight.
See, youāre thinking is people want to explore, most donāt care
If it were a 1.5 second cast time like a mount, Iād raise an eyebrow as to why itās needed. Having a 5 second cast time is overboard and I will absolutely question why it needs to be that long.
What 5 second cast time button do you need to push right now to swap?
I say make more work for the people who want less, and stop dumbing the game down to a point and click simulator Just my humble opinion. I honestly donāt understand why most of you even play WoW, you seem to hate everything about it, the players, like why are you here xD
Everyone I know loves exploring. So letās not throw out made up numbers to further a narrative.
The difference isā¦ we have two ways to explore now: in the air and on the ground.
Wow is the only mmo with a decent end game
Eso and gw2 have ok end games, but they are horizontal games, there is nothing chase
Ffs end game is good but very limited
5 seconds for a non combat action is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. Do I think they might change this time, as far as shrinking it a bit? I sure do at some point, but I do not see them removing it completely without finding some other way to insure what they are going for with it in place.
When it came to swapping talents, specs and everything else that had any type of swap timer in doing it, or even a restriction. It has never bothered me, it is just one of those things that in WoW to me is such a drop in the bucket when it comes to issues that need to be addressed to make the game actually more interesting or fun in general. Or things that could be expanded on in such ways that would open new life in areaās yet explored in development of the game itself.
5 seconds adds up, itās not like swapping talents that you do on occasion, those of us that want to switch will probably do it often, as it stands, Iāll just keep it in normal flying once I get it
