Have yall ever tried

Not bringing 25 warriors to a classic raid and prioritizing fun and different classes over sweaty parses that literally no one cares about? Try it and im sure youll love classic even more

Spending an extra 2hrs in raid is always a fun time :+1:

Especially for dad gamers with other priorities.

Its not an extra 2 hours its a extra few mins and worth it so everyone can have fun instead of being sweat lords in moms basement

I’ve been in those extra 2 hours with warriors just because Billy, Joe and Tryden love to stand on fire, backpedal and tunnel vision in a 20 year old game with 2-4 mechanics per boss. So yeah I’d rather have the druid boomy that doesn’t have brain tumor

Sweaty gaming and parse culture are perfect examples of what is wrong with modern gaming as a whole

But!

The good news is casuals and sweaty can isolate from each other by being in guilds that play a certain way.

Sounds like you need to find a casual fun guild!

My raid brought 10 warriors and about 5 rogues.

Just find a guild that wants to be chill! Vanilla raids are easy. There were plenty of casual guilds in 2019 classic. Most people said they were forced to min max when in reality they chose it.

The vast majority of guilds aren’t running 25 warriors, that’s only the sweatiest of speedrun guilds.

Warriors/rogues/mages are the best damage by quite a bit, but classic raids aren’t hard and there’s plenty of room to bring reliable players even above the meta support slots.

The hardest raid spots would be non-meta dps that compete with warriors/rogues for gear. That tends to not go down well in a lot of groups as that gear is already highly contested.

Honor revamp will help with a lot of gear issues too.

This is the thread. You’ve convinced everyone. Good job. You’ve saved classic with this post.

I’ve never not tried having fun in wow classic. That is why I join big blast world buff parse runs which me and likeminded individuals do care about.
Have you tried not making pointless threads?

You can think it’s wrong, but thing is some people enjoy it. You can’t tell other people what their definition of fun is.

Gotta say that after my 2019 run with Classic – full tier 1, 2, 2.5, 3, Rank 14 – there ain’t no way I’m sweating in raids with 25 warriors again or rolling on a PVP server. Literally takes away the enjoyment and delivers almost nothing in return and its proven over time, but some players are just in denial.

PvE server’s shaping up to be quite something this time, this is a refuge from the griefers.

Right which is honestly a great thing about WoW in people can associate with people with similar goals and strategies to achieve those goals.

I clearly have my own thoughts about meta gaming but meta gamers definitely have the right to play how they want just like how casuals do as well.

My issue is, I never land in the middle, the guilds that clear content are usually sweaty, and if i look for one thats not sweaty, they suck at raiding. I can never find a guild thats not sweaty and doesn’t suck. So i just accept that i need to be sweaty.

Fire boost dps, just sayin

Been there. Done that. When you play the same game for many years and do the same raids every week for years optimization becomes more and more of a priority. Would you expect people who have been playing Super Metroid since 1994 to take their runs nice and slow? Of course not.

On a Saturday afternoon with a case of beer and/or mixed drinks this is absolutely a great time.

Look harder. There’s definitely non sweaty non sucky dad guilds.

You do realize pve server players can do all that too right?

Not gonna happen, but i wished.
