According to Battle.net launcher, the current 6 month subscription promotion gets the mount and the toy. I have the mount but Imp in a Ball toy is nowhere to be seen. Not in my bag, not in the mailbox, and not in toy tab.
So what happened to the toy?
The toy is only available in Burning Crusade Classic.
Hmmm launcher didn’t mention anything that it was specific to classic only.
I’ve seen a couple people claiming that now, but I have yet to see any mention on the launcher that doesn’t say that. Where are you seeing it?
Scrolling down after clicking the Skyblazer widget also only tells me TBCC. 
While it’s possible that it was updated in the last 30 minutes, I just checked the launcher. I’m not sure how you missed it, but it is EXTREMELY clear that the Imp in a Ball toy is for Burning Crusade Classic.
okay but did this just come out because i have had one in my bags since tbcc came out… i thought it was something that came with the upgrade option… warp stalker mount. Was using it as soon as i got to an inn after making my Spacegoat.
Nope, it isn’t part of that package, just part of the 6-month sub promo and the imp has been a part of the promo for a few months now I think.
It was included in the previous 6-month mount promotion as well. That promotion started before Burning Crusade Classic launched, but when the item was added to the bundle it was granted to everyone who was already on the bundle. So you may have already received it from that.

This is where I saw it. That part never specified ball was for classic only and when I went to set up subscription, there was no mention other than the sub fee for 6 months + tax and such
Ah, this is just an ad - limited space in the launcher means it’s not possible to convey every detail of a promotion so these ads will usually take you to a different page with all of the details.
There’s a similar ad for the Summer Sale with some art of the pets and mounts available at a discount. The art doesn’t show everything, but when you click through to the blog you get more details.
