Had that issue in GW2 since my main was a Charr.

Vulpera, Sethrak and Sanalyn. These are all races that could be pretty cool, but the primary communities for each of these races are notoriously toxic. Vulpera fans have been known to be extremely hostile to gilgoblin fans. Often trying to write them off as only wanted by fox haters and should only be a customization option. Many sethrak fans are so notoriously hostile towards mechagnome fans that it has become a meme at this point. In fact. They wonāt even acknowledge the existence of mechagnome fans. Countless threads created by these people calling them a waste of an AR slot and being really downright mean to people who love them. Then there is LFU. Particularly when it comes to lightforged undead, they get a similar treatment that mechagnomes do among many sanalyn fans. This is why I tend to be wary of people pushing AR based agendas on these forums in groups.

And im sure many of the people playing them who act that way are trolls
But i know a lot are legit
I play what I feel like playing at the time. I really donāt care what a single other player or WOW fan feels about that.

Itās like you have to play a human or elf to avoid some troll/tool chivalry since everything is becoming some type of ābaitā of some sort.
Oh Iām sure of it. Itās just beyond annoying and lame to project such things within a fantasty genre. Itās like calling folks that like Werewolves furries. Itās just lame.
The concept of not enjoying something because the fans of said thing are obnoxious never made any sense to me.
Itās totally possible to enjoy a thing and just not pay attention to rabid fans.
In fact, it shouldnāt even take effort.
Itās weird to turn it into a thing.

I was PvPing a lot there too and playing a Thief which is normally 90% female Humans or Sylvari (think elf). People tought it was a weird choice or the only possibke reason was that i was a furry lol.
Whatās ironic is people who often make these comments while playing female āprettyā races tend to be teenagers errr ādiscoveringā themselves, if you catch my drift.

I have heard much worse. So much worse. Gnomes have been asking for more content and relevance for a long time and they got it. The people campaigning for sethrak on these forums in general and some of the most toxic people Iāve seen around here. A few exceptions are Nazendra and Fezzy.

Night Elf players are the biggest nerds, but I like their look
Maiev and Illidan are the best night elf characters
But thing is. Neither of those guys are directly associated with the real hard campaigns for sethrak. They talk in the threads, but arenāt involved with the main collaborators.
I liked vulpera a lot, until I made one and saw trade chat full of them with names that all had āknottyā in them talking about bestiality.
