Have accessibility issues? Blizzard will ban your account

Update: Ban was reversed!! Woo hoo!!

One of my guildmates plays using a console controller, which is supported by Blizzard natively in Shadowlands. She uses an addon called ConsolePort to make this doable in Classic. A few minutes ago she was disconnected while playing with her husband, and recied a notice that she has a six-month ban for botting. We think she somehow got flagged for botting. Blizzard, this requires a fix. Everyone else who plays with a controller for accessibility reasons - BEWARE

My Husbands account was just banned about 30 minutes ago. He had moved his PC into the living room this pas week and was using console port as well.

Blizzard is in California. They have major laws about denying people with disabilities.

If the story is true, they need a lawyer ASAP.

That isn’t really how it works. They are within their right to ban certain software from interacting with the game.

Instead of hyperbole, let the appeal process work for your friend. From what I am seeing on the CS forums, a lot of the suspensions are being overturned.
