Have A Toy I Shouldn't?

I was looking through my toys last night, and noticed I have one I don’t think I should have. “Explosive Victory”, which I imagine is the reward from the upcoming Underpin quest.

I don’t know how I got this? It is just there. I don’t recall looting it or anything. In fact I don’t think I ever would have noticed I had it if I wasn’t scrolling down my toys.

I’m filing a bug report on it, but is there anything else I should do? I don’t know how unsafe carrying around something you can’t get is, even if I didn’t get it.

Not sure how I received it, if it was a quest. WoWhead is not informing how it was rewarded. Assuming we were not meant to have it, likely it would be disabled, but I assume that it was probably given from an early activity and I did not notice it.

Assumed it came from Excavation Site 9.

I haven’t done that one yet, although I should: Still have the quest and any and all rep is handy.

I usually keep a sharp eye on shiny things that pop in, just to see what they do. Only reason I think it’s tied to Underpin is because Zekky gives ‘Toxic Victory’ for his quest, so it’s certainly in theming of that.

I haven’t used it, it sounds like a bad idea because I swear I did nothing that earned it. Research I’ve done shown people also having it, and being completely unsure how they got it.

I just don’t wanna get in trouble, especially during gob time. :worried:

I did! I wish I had any actual detail to give outside of 'I found this. I don’t think I earned it? Help."

I’m sure it’s fine, but like I said, having something I don’t think I should is worrisome to me.

All but one of the posts on WoWhead are users claiming they got it somehow and aren’t sure where. It’s definitely not just you that got it randomly.

You are good. Nothing will happen to you or your account.

  • You did nothing to intentionally exploit the game to get something that should not be available.
  • You reported it as a bug like you should
  • You are not using the item just in case. Wise choice!

The MOST that will happen is that they remove the item and fix the bug so it gets awarded when it is supposed to. Only people who exploit bugs for gain get penalized.

Yeah. I think I just got myself worried over nothing. I try to stay within the rules if I can help it!

I appreciate it, folks. Think I did everything I could to report it. I’m just going to pretend it’s not there for now.

(But it probably will once I can take down Underpin.)

I found one in my toybox as well. I just noticed it while scrolling through my toys and didn’t remember ever getting it. I haven’t done Underpin yet. I did properly unlock the Zekvir toy from last season, but not yet in this one. I wonder how many people got it early, and how many got it but haven’t realized it yet.

May be a shot in the dark, and may be unrelated, but when did you unlock the Zekvir toy? Did you do it at the very end of the season by chance?

Pretty sure you unlocked the Zekvir toy from the quest that directed you to complete Zekvir ? difficulty.

Stands to reason that the Underpin toy should come from the quest for completing Underpin ? difficulty, though I don’t think the quest actually shows that reward at the moment.

I don’t believe so? I think I wasss…614 ilvl at the time. I forget the exact date, I’ll have to check my achievements later.

That was my logic, but seeing it just there before Underpin was even available really threw me for a loop. Either way, got him down so it’s mostly moot at this point.

Still working on Underpin ??, not exactly what I would call fun, but getting there.

I’m just going to sum it up as one of them WoW mysteries.
