The item stopped dropping a long time ago. Should have bought however many you wanted back then when it was common and cheap. Now it’s worth a fortune.

Mine says “This was removed from from the game.” I have been holding on to this item for a very long time and passed up a LOT of gold offers for it. Why would they need to “remove” it???

I got like 10 of them one on each of my character, keeping these until the price are ridiculously high, also farmed for tons of unobtainable items remove in Cata, gonna make bank in a year or two.
To answer your question though, I always see a bunch being sold on Old Blanchy for like 7-8K each.
Pre-patch events only items, its similar to the rare TBC or WOTLK Pre-patch event tabard, but in this case you can sell those memento.
Bunch on Faerlina for 1800g
These will never be “worth a fortune” tons of people stockpiled them in hopes of reselling them but it’s not the same as having one that’s actually valuable from 20 years ago.

I have mine still on retail that I got in OG Wrath. Never sold it or gave it up, though it functions slightly differently (or at least the last time I played retail and paid attention anyway).
