Hero Talents made PvP in TWW unbearable, overcomplicated and worse. And that was the state of the gamemode before hero talents were released… so somehow they made it even worse. ![]()
its just more talents for 10 more levels. if they had been added to the regular tree instead of their own window this thread wouldn’t exist.
soo far i enjoyed all of them.
They change some talents or are just passives that strenghts how your class played before anyway.
They are fun and a good addition to the game, op specs and tuning patches exist since forever
You will have to be more specific.
PvP in DF was the most fun it’s been since WoD imo. And of the three classes I’ve fully geared at 80 so far, hero talents don’t mess anything up. They are fun additions to the classes.
Great story, OP! Don’t let the door hit your rear end on the way out.
I think what he means is that now you pretty much cant see your character or whats going on against a unholy dk with all the added pets and animations.
You pretty much cant touch an ele shaman because their hero talents gave them even more knocks and mobility than they already had.
It just kicked dragonflight cc bloat up to 11 except this time with more passives doing it for you while you just do your rotation. Which i do indeed think is really cringe.
You forgot adding “un” before your name.
There’s like 5 specs that are broken rn and 2 of them got nerfs this reset.
PvP balance is actually not bad outside of evoker healing.
I’m gonna need you to stop and think about all the boomkins egos, as they dot 12 Nazgrim’s, 6 Whitemanes and a couple of ghouls and press starfall. Those charts don’t top themselves.
Made it better than what it was you mean
For me they made the game a lot laggier… used to run BGs at full settings perfectly in Dragonflight. Now on low the first clash in a BG makes the whole game freeze with the endless Hero Talent passives popping off.
battlegrounds in shadowlands > dflight and covenants/legendaries were way more variable on combat than hero talents.
The only thing dflight had going for it was gear balance and that’s kind of a 50:50 given how half the expansion was spent complaining about mm hunters in welfare bis.
Once and individual picks their favorite tree, finishes leveling, and picks the two or so choice nodes, hero talents are mostly very passive with little to no rotation change. At best they offer a button you want to press and a cool animation, at worst you forget you have hero talents while in combat because your spec has boring hero talents.
Hero talents were seemingly intentionally made uneventful for easy balancing. The sky isnt falling.
Someone got fooled by the user interface. ![]()
im the first one to point fingers at blizz and say what a mess they have made…I did actually criticize hero talents as a new system…but i dont really feel like any of the hero talents are causing hidden math. i think its pretty cool feature to be honest. I wish players had a little less funneling into meta builds and we could make more unique builds. like we could discover new and unique builds instead of just bein cookie cutter copies of meta builds. but whatever…blizz wuld never be able to create something like that. they can barely balance current specs
Players can pick what they want and may use a build that wasnt made by a theory crafter that works best for them.
Having a build that is mathematically correct, only yields the best results if you know how to utilize everything it can do. Not everyone min/maxes and thats ok.
yeah I think the min/maxing really matters if your gonna pvp over 2k. i think anything under and creative builds could totally work! I plan to F around a bit.
My spellslinger fosty is straight pumping in Ashran.
In Wintergrasp, he’s the town bike.
