Is Wrath less filled with DK bots( ironic I know )and how is the pvp?
Is it worth returning or am I doomed to stay a retail andy?
is cheating less annoying in the arena or do we still have high-level players who not only are good at the game but using some form of automation for their rotations?
Still plenty of bots ruining BGs and the arena scene is pretty dead with top players quitting over bot cheating, queue dodging, sniping, etc
Watch Venruki he’s one of the best arena players all time and he keeps running into bots at high levels.

A) Bots? Yes, and Blizz encouraged the problem only to turn around and sell the WoW token.
B) Arena scripters? Yes, and it extends outside of just arena. It happens in PvE raiding as well.
In short, don’t come to WotLKC. The servers started emptying out with the WoW token, the bots are everywhere, the community is absolutely toxic and makes the League of Legends community look like saints, and p2w has become the state of the game(whether through buying gold, gear, and carries or through purchasing scripts that automate your character in arenas and raids). Do your mental health and dignity a favor, stay away.
Wotlk classic is on a downward spiral. If you come back to classic at all, i can only recommend Classic Era. Steer clear of Wrath.

I only recommend coming back if you are good at pve and enjoy raiding with a guild. Every other aspect of this game is dead. Get in while the 50% xp buff is active because leveling will be a mostly solo experience.
Only come back if you know people to get in groups. Wrath is over. If your pugging early content with a bad GS good luck.

We all knew it would die early when they botched the release and excluded features from the original 3.3.5 client. Wotlk is basically on life support now. I recommend another game unless you’re interested in vanilla (era) which is excellent. Don’t bother with wotlk.

Hard to say! I feel like if you’re generally a negative person and enjoy complaining about things, you’ll be able to find a decent amount of things to complain about.
It’s definitely pretty easy to enjoy the game with a good guild. I started getting into arenas last season, and am hoping to spend even more time in arenas next season! I’m working on an additional class to add to the lineup, so I’m pretty excited about that.
There are people who find lots of things to complain about, like arena scripting and bots in BGs. Personally, afaik at least, I haven’t really seen much, if any of this.
To give you a sense of what I’m doing, which may explain why, I’ve mostly been focused on only spending enough time in BGs to get honor for arena gear. I raid mostly with my guild, and sometimes with PuGs from /LFG chat, and most of my time outside of PVEing is in Skirmishes and rated arenas, usually around a 2k ~2.2k MMR, but I’m hoping to improve that for next season.

It’s really not that hard to get into groups. Even as an undergeared character you can join a NEO P1 WT and bid on stuff that’s hot and don’t intend to buy at all. Grab an occasional 300g piece and take 4-6k gold pot at the end. Do that for a couple weeks and run 5 mans nonstop. Eventually get into an Ulduar 25 GDKP the same way.
Or you could - y’know, JOIN A GUILD.

Ret is actually more fun in Era than in Wrath… Wrath Ret is boring AF because its too powerful and tuned for truly terrible play to be excusable.
Ret in Era has more interesting characteristics, the seal and judgment system of Era / TBC is better (my opinion) and overall the way its played is just more fun in Era.
Wrath in Ret is fun for like 15 min then after you’re handed every win in a row because the class is grossly over tuned, its boring, stale and bleh.
