Blizzard created a game for people who get paid to play it, everyone else is a bill payer.

If Microsoft buys Blizzard they will want to put it into the game pass system and they will want big numbers of subs again.

raiding has just about reached the point where in its current iteration it can not justify its existence.

I’d argue that elitism has been a huge part of every iteration of wow. It’s par for the course in mmo gear progression based games. Did retail get more elitist? Mabe doing competitive end game content isn’t for casuals. The game is very old you should have noticed that elitism runs endgame content since molten core. In todays times for m+ Just try to learn and become better, I believe anyone can if you want it

Sorry but the casuals wanted the Covenants restricted, raiders wanted them to be switchable on the fly.

Yes, people did. They argued on this forum constantly that if they were unlocked they’d be forced to switch in order to do dungeons and raids by other players, who they often called elitists.

Made lots of threads 2 years ago (on EU forums) and had a lot of pushback.
They wanted “meaningful choice”…
