The problem your going to run into is people that haven’t been on the SAME generation of both. The fastest Intel I’ve ever had was a 6700k.

So here is a slight update on my build. I wound up returning some components for others. This baby really flies!

  • Case: Phanteks Eclipse p600s
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XII Hero Z490
  • Processor: i7 10700k OC to 5.1
  • Ram: HyperX Predator 4000mhz
  • Cpu Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360
  • Psu: ASUS ROG Strix 750w Fully Modular
  • Main SSD: Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD
  • Case Fans: 4x 140mm Noctua NF-P-14s 1500 PWM
  • Video: Zotac RTX 2080 (using temporarily until the RTX 3070 comes out)

Pretty nice build, glad you didn’t go for the i7 9700k. The i7 10700k is a much much better buy.

Agreed. The Thermals are fantastic and it has the same performance as the 9900k. It’s basically a perfected 9900k.

I was able to overclock the 10700k to 5.1 out of the box. 1.33v and idols at 26-29.
