Hardstuck 1500 rogue LF help

After 200+ games floating around 1500CR I’ve finally faced the reality that I suck and need to get good. I mainly play rogue / mage 2s with my mate and it feels like we have hit a wall and can’t break 1600.
I’ve started streaming on twitch to review my vods / share my low rated games with IRL friends. My twitch is https://www.twitch.tv/telstrasales not sure on how frequent I will be streaming but I plan to stream all my games from now on to review them later.

Appreciate if anyone can come on and help me improve.

Someone help this man out. I play rogue so I can’t help, but surely someone can.

My guess would be you’re not making clean goes after your opener and swapping when enemies are still on poly & stun DRs. Once DRs drop cheap shot the non kill target so mage can poly and step kidney the kill target, rinse and repeat. I know this is an over simplification but thats the general idea and should easily work to 1800 and basically 2400 once you get super good and swapping off DRs.

Also, as the rogue be good about watching trinkets, if your opening kill target trinkets you can immediately blind them and step kidney or cheapshot the other enemy and put the rest of your dmg on them while the other target sits a full blind into poly

That’s a really good tip I’ll try it tonight, never thought about using blind like that. Usually we just use it for the second go to CC the healer.

Play something other than rouge mage play with a healer.

When you’re learning its probably better to play with a healer. (which I appreciate is hard atm with a healer shortage)

Rogue mage can be unstoppable if played well but a total mess if you unsync or mess up your cc. Even the best teams still screw up.

Just watched some of your twitch vods. I’d say easiest thing for you to work on is defensive cooldown trading. Happy to play some games with you to practice. I play rogue, mage and priest but main rogue. Feel free to add me. 1950 in 2s RM this ssn on both my rogues.

Yeah I see it being a bit slower with a healer, some games we die so fast its hard to tell what to do. Kinda sticking to rogue/mage cause its what my mate plays.

Edit: Thanks a lot for the games today, I’ve learnt a lot just gotta put it into practice. Feels good to hit the 1600 bracket too :slight_smile:
