I just logged on to see if I have the tabard. I do. It must have dropped for me years ago. I don’t even remember it.

I don’t think it is, but somewhere in one of the articles I read, mentioned that the mount drop rate is increased if you do the horseman w/ the curses active. Not sure if that applies to the key as well.
I did it twice w/ curses and 3 times w/o, no key. 
Will try again tonight.
The original dungeon was broken up into 4 parts, graveyard, library, armory and cathedral.
They were great fun and before gold became easy to get, a great place to farm silk cloth to finance epic ground mounts.

Completely untrue. This is Retail GD. Classic has their own GD and its here
When a Classic GD topic is posted here in Retail GD its always moved to Classic GD by the mods.
Aiyako likes to tell folks she doesn’t play Classic without telling people she doesn’t play Classic. I forgot about their GD. Either way this conversation was about retail and I don’t think people being logged in as one toon or the other really matters if they’re on topic.

Is it hard like a heroic?
I got the key using hard mode on my fourth attempt, after clicking the tall wickerman for all 4 curses. Some peoples’ posts say that hard mode isn’t required but I did a ton of normal runs with no drop. I am thinking hard mode makes it easier if it is not needed. I did (for reference) get Arfus the dog pet without being in hard mode on one of my random normal runs.
