I’m not disagreeing with your opinion on multiple dungeons. I really like the idea of being able to run all the dungeons I want while still subscribing to the (1) death rule. I just understand they disagree with my assessment so I just typically play another era server (because it’s a lot harder to find groups on BB if you’re not using the addon) and just keep the bit about being hardcore to myself so I cut down the probability of someone trying to grief me on purpose.
This actually makes sense, and connects the dots to what I was asking. I suppose me bringing up the way safespotting, and path bugging makes the game easier undermines their HC run. If they do it, to avoid dying, then it essentially invalidates the run. So, being hostile twords people would make sense.
I wish they would just talk about things, instead of trying to ignore anything they don’t like.
Why though? No one is going to force you to play their way, why the concern.
Here’s one. They enjoy this play style, and are having fun. There is no need for further explanation.
That’s taken out of context. The context is that there’s no legit reasons given why exploiting pathing bugs and evade spots are allowed, but only a single of each dungeon per HC run. When both end up making the run easy.
I don’t make the rules and frankly I play my HC characters with only one rule, don’t die. Still, I don’t understand why you are questioning their play style. Is it affecting you somehow?
Keep generalizing. There are cheaters in every game, community…
Some HC players are rude to non HC, some HC players cheat, some HC players will steal your mobs. Those are all true. But they are also true of any server in any video game ever.
Most HC players are nice and play fair. If you really dislike them, just ignore them or go play on a server where there are no HC players.
I don’t get people who come to the forums to be negative all the time. I hate baseball. Find it boring. Guess what, I don’t go on baseball forums spreading negativity about it…
Generalization exists because when most of “insert group” does something, it’s the rule. There are always exceptions, no exception.
I got a legitimate answer. It appears to threaten the legitimacy of their runs.
ok now prove that most HC players exploit safe spots in dungeons
(hint: you can’t)
About an hour ago, I was watching a rogue path exploit Vagarsh (spelling?). They will, in Deadmines videos, exploit the wheel when someone pulls Greenskin. Just watch any Deadmine hc fail on the boat.
ok and I ran deadmines without exploiting the wheel thing
your silly anecdotes are not evidence
If the run is going well, they won’t be using the wheel. You’re taking my words the wrong way. The exploits happen when things go bad, or are to hard to do normally. The most common thing I see people say, when people ask about what level for Hogger is, “just use the fence”.
I really don’t even care about the pathing exploits or evade spots. I’m using the fact that hc player of the community freely use them, to make the run easy. So if that’s allowed, multiple of the same dungeons should be allowed within the rules
If you use evade spots in a HC run you are a bad player. Accept the L and reroll. You wouldn’t need to evade mobs if you didn’t screw up.
I don’t see the equivalency there, even if they use the wheel I doesn’t make it like two runs. They get no additional chances at loot or xp.
And again, how does this affect you? I see this challenge as a personal goal, not a competition.
Affect on me isn’t the issue. Ruining multiple dungeons is more “part of the game” than exploits. But, the multiple dungeons are banned, while exploiting isn’t
I really don’t understand why this is even a conversation. Who cares what other people do?
So, all the hardcore players, from what I read… these exploits, bugs and glitches are just “part of the game”, correct?
Why can you appeal deaths caused by a bug or glitche, if glitches and bugs are “part of the game”?
Who cares? Don’t die
It seems like the hc community cares. They abuse bugs and glitches, then appeal their death when they die to one…
It most certainly is. It’s obviously an issue to you or you wouldn’t be complaining about it.
This,
I’ll ask this in a question format:
It seems like the hc community cares. They abuse bugs and glitches, then appeal their death when they die to one… Why the hypocrisy?
