Hardcore Offical: Pros & Cons

I think this is an irrelevant point. If someone wants to do something like pay gold to boost to win, I think they should be free to do so. Other people cheesing hardcore doesn’t invalidate my own achievements.

It does and it doesn’t.

Whats the whole point of Hard core if not for the clout?

yeah i agree i think no trading is a big part of HC bc if you got someone trading you a sick BOE blue its gonna make a significant impact on difficulty level.

I do it for fun. It also brings in a large crowd of people. This influx of people gets me more DeadMines groups.

Regular wow and call it hc?
Again, who said that the addon created by Kargoz is what hardcore is?

The game defines hardcore. when they added the soul of Iron buff it was the hardcore solution given by blizzard. Even if it was poorly, the “community” said: “nah, not gonna use it” so they could die and get “new life” by the admins.

Now what I understand is Charginchuck would like to play on HC server without these trade restrictions and so on, which again, were driven by few players and not by the game itself.

Saying that it is not hardcore is just like saying that those people who killed ragnaros were “hardcore” even though dead people were in the party and others were faking the Soul of Iron buff.

True, but most gamers have a sense of competitiveness in some sort and being able to weigh accomplishments is an easy one to track and compare.

i think it dilutes the true achievement earner’s sense of accomplishment its like getting thunderfury in retail wow, yeah u got it but u didnt earn shhit.

Just like the scarab lords in SoM that didn’t have to farm 200k carapaces too?

It’s all perceived.

I got all the legendries during Cataclysm and still felt pride. Others tried to diminish it but it comes from my self at the end of the day.

Oh I get it. It’s why people put such a high value on things like their OverWatch rank. I never really cared about clout or comparing myself to others. I just enjoy playing the game for fun.

Very true. And while players still play WoW even with RMT being outrageous it still leaves it feeling dirty.

I’m not really always trying to play a dirty game. The landlord example again, if my apartment is just constantly full of pest whenever a new clean one comes around I’m more likely to try it just to get out of this one.

literally anyone who is playing HC classic is using the addon and rule set. idk what world u living in but that addon is the soul of HC currently.

idk what that even means big bro

Well, the issue with that example, is that’s a legal issue you could bring someone to court for. I think a better example would be the hot water going out after 5 mins in the shower.

Actually lets use the trash man just not picking up garbage.

It would suck if they never got it until it was overwhelming.

That is not hardcore. I’m sorry to let you down.
They’re playing like pretending it is, but it isn’t.

Hardcore will happen if blizzard release official servers that only allows you to have one life.

And I’m still skeptical this will happen because the amount of people trying to open tickets to appeal deaths due to bugs (people falling into endless into the world until they die or dying to lag).

lol that actually happened at work. They didn’t show up for over a week after it needed to be dumped. There was garbage all over the dumpster area that needed like 3 dumps.

And you can’t remove the dumpsters because they’re legally owned by the garbage men.

So this is a much better example lol.

But, at some point the garbage men (Blizzard) came and took the garbage away (bot purge) :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah thats a pretty L take. obviously HC isnt an official thing but if ur playing HC wow you use the addon and rule set. Its widely accepted

Kinda like daylight savings time. Clocks really don’t go back an hour or forward an hour, we set them because of a social construct. maybe a bad example.
