Making only two Hardcorpse servers was the smartest thing Blizz has done in years.

According to the site only passed in stupidity by FB, EU servers are getting crunched because folk from a rather populous country that recently saw Blizzard end service there are piling in.
Maybe they could get another server in Europe.
A ton of dead players on Stitches care to disagree with you. And I’m only alive because I refuse to play on servers still having massive queues and overpopulation issues a month after opening.
Maybe US side it was smart, but EU side … it’s going to cost them in popularity and moneywise too.
Problem is partly that EU is all that’s not US and OCE. I see Cyrillic letters and Chinese/Japanese characters and Korean ones too when playing.
2 servers for this s***load of players just does not work. Blizz promised to open more if servers went Full. Now the two EU ones have been consistently Full, one with queues every evening for a month, and still no more servers being launched.

Taiwan and Korea regions both have servers for hardcore. So choices aren’t just EU or NA.
Really? Thanks for making me wiser. I see Korean characters quite often. But just as I could choose to pay for and play in US, Koreans can probably do the same

I just checked the realms list. Taiwan even have 2 HC servers. Time to study Taiwanese I’m afraid. If they can manage with 2 Era servers, playing HC there must be a dream scenario!
Good to know but things like Z axis deaths, lag or falling through the world seems to be consistent enough. And level 60’s deaths pop up on youtube all the time, obviously not reflective of the entire community but /shrug.
To an extent absolutely but it feels like they will probably need to open a few more soon.
What happened at EU recently was quite sad.

EU should get at least one more server.
But players are gonna go where they want.
Hope they get a handle on the instability before rolling out any more servers though.

EU is apparently getting hit harder than NA.
If Blizz can track down the gremlin causing the server to upchuck then maybe assess if another server is needed.

There was a dude ckaiming to be playing TW posting here the other day saying they have four hour queues.
I’ve nothing against adding another realm, but I think they’d be better served by IP blocking all the bigots, first.
Talk to Bobby about that when y’all next have brunch on the yacht.

I’m afraid the instability of Stitches is caused by the sheer number of players. I logged into Stitches this morning - just befoire the crash - in ORG just to check layers. There were 7, all with a zone population of between 300 and 1800 - zone pop, not layer. And before 8 am. Saturday morning!
Nek’Rosh had 5 layers with app. same zone pop. I think those 2 servers among them holds as many players as 20 full Vanilla servers.
I logged out and into an Era server, where I will continue my HC journey, purely honour based. I won’t return to any of my official HC toons until the instability and population issues are solved.
Uh check me if I’m wrong but doesn’t that put the server at numbers that Blues posted about here during the Great Server Lock, hand wringing that players wouldn’t disperse to less populated servers?
I get they are worried about an eventual decline in population. Looks like that might be happening sooner than they thought.

Do you even play the game? Priest died, they started hitting me. I don’t write the gddamn game. Maybe I was on their ago list if I gave the priest AI after they aggro’d. Ask Blizz.
Hm, I guess you’re rigth. But with only 2 fewer layers, the “less populated” server is only marginally so.
I would reroll on a new one immediately, even at the expense of all my progress to date.
And as for people leaving? No, they are not or only very few. Now - 7.15 pm - no queue (It was under 600 yesterday this time) but still 7 full layers. On Nek’Rosh still 5 layers but not as full. It seems like people are going TO Stitches, which seems contrary to all logic.
As said I’m not playing there until later, but I have level 1 spies in many realms/factions

My best advice: find a guild with people that you enjoy being around. Best with a good amount of people around the level youre at. Get a group together with guildies to run a dungeon youre all a bit higher level for and see how they play and how well you play together. When you find a solid group of people, do the dungeon runs with them. The gear out of dungeons is definately worth doing them for. And the quests are a good chunk of xp.
Outside of running with that specific group, quest yourself and just play safe while doing it. Dont go into caves alone, dont overpull things ect.
