Blizzard isn’t going to hire people to manually go through player submitted videos for 2 whole servers.
Just a quest tracker that you can sort by zone, dailies, or instances… I mostly got it so I can click the list and open the quest dialogue like classic wotlk. I think it’s supposed to look like the retail quest tracker. Still limited to 20 at a time, but it’ll change what shows automatically by zone (mostly with good success).
“The game is broken, we should just accept that and risk hundreds of hours of game time instead of asking for a complete game.” Worse than your first post, go troll somewhere else.
you guys said appeals were wrong cuz addon community baaaad and eeeevil and corrupt this is what you chose. you just gotta deal with it
i don’t know if this is relevant here, but here’s a tip: NEVER swim using the space bar to go up. there’s some kind of bug with that that causes DCs sometimes, especially if you’re in combat.
They don’t need to, it would take less or at most just as much time as any other ticket. It doesn’t make any sense not to have a reasonable appeal process.
Still better than the Classic native UI that tracks like 5. Or did that change in the last update a couple of weeks ago? I’ve used Questie for sooo long with everything that can be disabled switched off because I just want increased quest tracking.
I’ll check it out. Thanks for mentioning it.
Does this mean that you’ll go play on a Normal RP server, using the addon?
Also, isn’t the appeal process just to keep playing until 60, and self-assess?
Almost everyone I know has some sort of software where they can record the last minute or two of their gaming session at the click of the button.
Next time spend the 7 silver for an elixir of water breathing. Take it as a lesson learned. Or don’t.
Either way, enjoy Elwynn. RIPBOZO
yeah that’s smart. there’s usually a potion that can help, and most of them are dirt cheap
A screen recording does not prove you didn’t pull the plug, that is the real issue and why an appeals process would just be pointless.
Look, I get it. It sucks to lose a character to a disconnect and I’d imagine that if it happens to me, I’ll be bummed about it too. However, there’s just not really anything to be done for it.
Appeals undermine the intent of hardcore itself and open up avenues for abuse. I’d rather accept the risk that the one or two disconnects I experience a year could result in a character death than have hardcore become a game mode that people exploit their internet connection stablity in order to “win” the game.
If your own internet is the issue, it might be worthwhile to look at addressing that (or pursing a new ISP). If you think the issue is on Blizzard’s end you might consider advocating for Blizzard to address that. You might find you have more support.
Appeals ruin the hardcore game environment because there’s no way to definitively tell if someone pulled their router, and Blizzard doesn’t want to get into litigating who was telling the truth and who wasn’t. It would require tons of GMs to review appeals in any reasonable amount of time, because literally everyone would appeal everything hoping to game the system. It’s not going to happen. The add-on appeals were corrupt and had the same problems. Basically no game with hardcore game-modes (mostly ARPGs) allows appeals for the same reasons.
So, your power went out?
F.
Go agane.
11s for a water breathing pot doesn’t seem like a bad price, now does it?
Eventually we’re all gonna be back at level 1 due to a bug or disconnect if you’re a good player.
You agreed to that though.
I died on my pally that was level 14 or 12 and that was all because some guy pulled a lot of stuff, he was supposed to soak up the damage then I heal him… he d/ced.
I healed him to keep him alive, I died cuz of that, then a few seconds later, they all went after him and he died. And…neither one of us can appeal…cuz we agreed to it.
I Agree. You typed that in.
Nope. Just play softcore. Appeals ruin the whole concept of HC.
Fail, go again. ISP issues happen, you go again. Power outages happen, get a UPS or go again.
They should just block accounts who post these topics from this forum, you know what you agreed to.
The only thing they need to add is a way to pre-filter these threads so I don’t have to view them.
They should block people who are incapable of not reading/reacting to topics they don’t like.
