Dude, we get steaks and hamburgers too! Not just hot dogs. And we skip the beer. A gallon of sweet tea is all that’ll be served. (Yeah, drunk uncles trying to light fire works and managing to set a corner of grandpa’s field on fire was enough to have the beer banned forever.)
Though I may have to check with my relatives who landed at Omaha beach, pretty sure we did Jolly old Britain a solid or two in the subsequent centuries.
Well we tended to be a little more isolationist back then, the perk of having an ocean between us and the next continents in either direction. If you remember though we tended to send supplies and munitions a lot earlier than actual troops.
