Happy Treason Day, You Ungrateful Colonials

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July today.

I mean you gave up tea, refined culture, and the joys of the Westminster System - all things us Canadian loyalists still enjoy - but at least you got a day of hotdogs and… is that what you call beer? Sure, we’ll call it beer. A day of hotdogs and ‘beer’.

So enjoy your day of giant flags and barbecue, from a loyal colonial.

We still have tea, thanks, and our milk doesn’t come in bags because we’re not weirdos.

I assume you use some sort of simple jugs then, like a primitive barbarian from the steppes?

American dating a British lad for 9 years now. We both thoroughly enjoy tea. He even got to see some fireworks here a few years ago. Spent more time being happy together than thinking of the implications until we laughed about it later.

Dude, we get steaks and hamburgers too! Not just hot dogs. And we skip the beer. A gallon of sweet tea is all that’ll be served. (Yeah, drunk uncles trying to light fire works and managing to set a corner of grandpa’s field on fire was enough to have the beer banned forever.)

What’s wrong with animal flesh cooked slowly?

Don’t forget drunk uncles having roman candle fights and nearly setting eachother on fire!

Last time I checked, we repaid the favor, twice.

Though I may have to check with my relatives who landed at Omaha beach, pretty sure we did Jolly old Britain a solid or two in the subsequent centuries.

A little bit tardy to the party though, weren’t you? America, always fashionably late.

I take mine straight from the cow, thanks!

Pfft, bags. Weird.

Well we tended to be a little more isolationist back then, the perk of having an ocean between us and the next continents in either direction. If you remember though we tended to send supplies and munitions a lot earlier than actual troops.

Thanks, I’m going to blueberry hill in the morning, have some pancakes with what they call maple syrup that’s actually just some refined sugar mix.

Ye gods…fake maple syrup? That’s the greatest crime we have in Canada.

Enjoy your tea, tyrants! You’ll just have to to pick it out of the harbor!

At least we have real Bacon, and not that crap you call bacon but is actually ham.

Judging by how Hollyweird writes films and the things they say about speaking German, Americans believe they singlehandedly won.

If you’ve been to Germany and tried their beers, no it’s not. It’s being sold under false pretences.
