Happy to sign the new social contract, but here's the thing

This is a really bad take.

If you don’t think WoW and MMORPG’s are primarily social games, then you don’t understand the genre.

Actually, the way the contract in game I just saw reads, technically the opposite. You MUST engage with ALL players nearby and assist them always. Even to the extent of grouping to carry them through content…
you can no longer roleplay half the possibilities because anything meant as cute and fun like emotes implying putting a Tauren out to pasture etc. is racially offensive. it’s all going to boil down to individual dev determinations in the end and evolution. Is that word ok or offensive, come to think of it? there’s a ridiculously low threshold of tolerance by the easily offended these days. I live by the don’t be a dork mindset and I don’t get punched in the face much for it. Hopefully that will be enough i don’t plan to change anything and if I get banned for calling a Vulperan a Furbaby or something oh well proves the game isn’t open to fun just exterme wokeness and I want nothing to do with that close minded bitter culture.

No, that is not how it is supposed to read. That is not how most people comprehend it.

Please review the text again. The first part is just a suggestion. Not something they enforce. They were loading screen tips and such, not a mandate.

not gonna lie, at first, the contract had me p.o’ed, but one of my bros helped me read between the lines, and translated the contract to the more simple expression of “just don’t be an a-hole”

I just dont know why they brought it up since we already agreed to it anyways. The only few things i can think of is. Theyre trying to save face after the cubical crawls and sexual allegations. Or theyre pandering trying to be woke or something. Heck that weird social ESG chart they showed was friggin weird AF!
