Happy to sign the new social contract, but here's the thing

I think people should be able to say what they want. But i get what youre saying and know what ya mean.

I agree with you on that for the most part.

At least in FFXIV they kept it to houses or ads to pay to get into houses.

WoW is the only place I see it everywhere including the forums. Most people I know IRL are not like they are in WoW or on the forums. And no I am not a sheltered old man who has never been exposed…

Unless you play a High Charisma Bard… then anything is game and dateable.

Never play a Bard.

Twisting songs is hard bro

This thread is still going?

I am talking about encouraging people not to be sh***y to each other. Both directly and through game design.

Why is this a problem?

And if you don’t understand me, I believe defeating your opponent in PvP while being a good sport is a healthy thing, even if it involves “asphyxiation, cheap shot, kidney punch” and the like. Thematically, such things work in this fantasy motif.

However /spitting on people is not healthy and not good sportsmanship.

Should boxers and UFC fighters spit on each other? Would that be good for those respective sports, considering they are combative and rely on a fair amount of real violence?

i mean last time i checked UFC fighters dont murder each other.

And that’s fine as I don’t RP sexual orientation or gender identity in the game and I don’t care if others do. I don’t become brainwashed by the mere presence of different gender identities from my own.

On the other hand, you’re scared players are going to find out that you’re (GASP!) white, and are somehow going to persecute you for it, per your gibberish from earlier in this thread.

“Let’s not pretend?” All you’ve been doing this whole thread is pretending to know what other people think and answering with non sequitirs and paranoid rants. Why stop now?

I don’t value the social contract much at all, at least not more than the TOS/EULA you and I both agreed to. It’s a supplement to the rules we are already supposed to follow. That’s all I see it as.

You imagine it has some greater power than that, based on persecution fantasies that don’t seem to have been backed up by any actual events in your WoW gaming life.

Eh, I wouldn’t bother with this one tbh. Dude thinks publicly traded companies have a right to Free Speech.

wait me or ???

Thimbul. Not you.

1 race can do this to players they Kill/Dies. All races could /spit to anyone at anytime and it was spammable. There is a different.

There are also still Flags of ownership and other flags you could plant “on a player” as a sign of disrespect.

Well, the supreme court did rule that they have the same rights and privileges as a person

Are boxers[fighters] in UFC fighting to the death in a war?

War isn’t a sport.

The beatings will continue till moral improves.

Might not be a sport, but it’s definitely a show, why do you think they call the areas of conflict “theaters”?

They still don’t have the right to free speech. Any publicly traded company can be sued by it’s stockholders for taking any hardline stance on political or social issues which affects their share’s values negatively. Why do you think Netflix has taken the turn it has?

Did you read the court case I linked, it says otherwise…

Supreme Court cited Bellotti in its highly controversial 5-4 ruling that political speech by corporations is a form of free speech that is also covered under the First Amendment.

According to the Supreme Court and Citizens vs United, they literally do, at least currently.

I think you may be confusing “publicly traded” with government owned, run, or subsidized.
