I had to google it but understand now, it’s really Thanksgiving in Canada today. That’s cool. The older I get, the less it seems I know common things.

Great screenshot.

It must feel weird having Pilgrim’s Bounty in November.

People need to learn the history of Thanksgiving before even consider celebrating it, you basically celebrating colonizers.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Northerfolk. Can’t say if the U.S. will be permitted this year

We take a day to be thankful for the good things we have. That is all.

You mean you’re thankful for the land and resources you stole.

I’m thankful that my child is healthy and happy. That I have good friends, food to eat, and a home that’s safe.

Of course you are happy, you literally settled on someone’s land, ever thought of that?

Madam, conquest has been a part of human existence since 2 people have occupied the same plot of land. There are even active attempts to take over land by force in the world right now. If you’re the type to bemoan Americans taking time to be grateful for what we have without speaking out against the atrocities currently occurring, you have no ground to stand on and your sentiment is hollow.

You won’t get any argument from me that our first nations haven’t been treated appallingly. I can’t change the past. My direct ancestors weren’t given a choice about leaving Scotland. They were literally exiled here. I was born here and won’t apologize for being here, but I will work to do what I can to make a better future.
