I remember watching American and Canadian shows as a kid and being so confused by Thanksgiving, because Australia doesn’t have it. But the food always looked so, so good

Land isn’t owned due to “living” on it. You need government laws and a military to ensure any land stays under ones control. Tribes fought and killed each other for land just like all animals do. They also practiced slavery and human sacrifice.
