Can I get free stuff today or what?
Ah yes, something about food allergens
I got a speeding ticket.
My boss isnāt letting me take the day off to celebrate, how do I sue for gender discrimination?!
I got to visit the ER at 4:30 this morning with my dad, so this holiday started a little rough for this guy hiding behind a female toon.
Everyone deserves to feel appreciated, loved, and like they matter. I have five brothers, two Dads (biological and step), and lots of men in my extended family. Two of my brothers passed away recently and trust me when I say the world was a much better place with them in it.
Happy Menās Day to all the good ones out there!
Do men do that too? I have heard of it just not a man doing it, anyway if it helpās, more power to ya. Happy Menās day!
This is the ingenious marketing that so many young people hear that makes them think that they can not solve their problems on their own and that they need to pay a ātherapistā or ālife coachā to tell them what to do.
I confused about what youāre trying to say. Based on the male suicide statistics, in the US at least, not everyone can solve their problems on their own and definitely could benefit from seeing a therapist
It doesnāt have to be like this. The most sucessful societies in the world are ones where everyone has equal rights and worth and everyone works hard to make a functioning safe stable world. Not one above the other. That doesnt work.
Donāt you see, heās a manly man who thinks talking to a therapist is lame or woke!
zero shame in shrinking. Sometimes I see enough of them at one time I can have a poker night.
youād go broke-- theyāll know all your tells for sure!
The fact that I see many men, who dislike therapist, do nothing but trauma dump on our friends or the bartender is high. Like, why is it worse to talk to a pro about it than the dude pouring you a drink our your friend who just wants to chill.
Holy crap, Iām pleasantly surprised the OP didnāt get flagged
ā¦Thereās a day dedicated to usā¦?
Despite what some forum posters would have you believe, threads like these do stay up if they stay within the TOS.
For example, this one from last year
Because a lot of men are told throughout their lives that seeing a therapist is a sign of weakness and they need to āman upā and push down their feelings and put on a brave face.
Happy International Mens day!
I want to say a special thank you to my Dad who always supported me in my hobbies, paying my wow sub as a kid even though he does not like video games, and always having my back even when I kinda didnāt deserve it. You are the best Dad ever, I love you, and Go Giants!
Another thanks to my two awesome brothers. My older brother, you have always been on my side and the role model I look up to. You taught me about being strong yet kind, tough yet fair, and to always get back up when knocked down. You will be a great Dad, canāt wait to meet my niece/nephew! I love you.
My younger brotherā¦ you little ***** **** *** *** ****** and I love you forever for it! While we did not get along as kids, I wouldnāt trade you for a little sister ever. You make me try to be better everyday and I appreciate your constant check ins to make sure Iām still on track. Anyone who meets you will be better for it, and will be lucky to have you as a counselor.
Finally, to my Grandfather, I miss you and your humor, we are all doing great and Grandma is getting better everyday. We love you.
Yeah, my brother is like that, while ranting to me about Joe Rogan. I keep telling him, yo, you arenāt weak if you want to talk to someone.
Look, Iām a dude but so many guys put mental chains on themselves so much to wanting to be seen as āhardā.
