Happy international Men's Day!

Me too, and I don’t understand why admitting you need help is such a terrible thing for a guy to admit.

Strange, sad and funny. Like the time I bought Angry Orchards for myself to drink, because I like apples and alcohol, and my brother and a group of his friends just kept hounding me. A lot of homophobic slurs were thrown but whatever. Yeah, those dudes polished it all off without a complaint and loving it.

It’s something about the culture or the podcasts they listen to, I swear. It messes their minds up and puts what they think a man should be in a very tiny box.

I want to enjoy life, and if it means sometimes to get my nailed painted and play as a princess with my nieces, then so be it.

Every day is man’s day as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, I always find these internal women/men/black/Hispanic/etc days funny. Everyday are those days in my eyes.

For some it could be seen as a sign of weaknesss. And to be honest it feels like that’s what society expects when the message is that men need to be strong and asking for help/crying are seen as being weak.

Others it’s probably pride. People come to them for help, not the other way around.

Yeah. That’s the way that guys are trained from a very early age. The people that we are taught to look up to always know the answers, don’t have fear, and show very little emotion.

That’s part of the reason all of the threads complaining about that type of character missing from WoW irritates me so much.

But, to he honest, I’ve always waited until I was on rock bottom before asking for help. Things would have definitely been better if I would have done it earlier.

and to all the single moms out there having to do both the mom and fathers job!

Yeah for real. If you’re a man and you try to celebrate anything to do with your gender, you will be shamed.

It’s raining men, hallelujah

hrm, yeah, all this emphasis on hunkering down, being Yer Own Man :tm:, taking care of business, all that… seems like a socially endemic issue. if only there was a pithy, catchy phrase to describe that mentality. hrm… ‘malignant manhood?’ ‘virulent virility…?’ someone help me out.

So does that mean we are celebrating body type 1 or 2?

Opossums everywhere salute you good sir.

if you’re gonna post cringe, at least don’t cower behind an alt.

lol who is going to shame you? What are you doing? Whipping it out and doing the helicopter? Eating nachos and farting? What is celebrating being a man mean to you?

Clearly you’re not paying attention

We said men, not Maple Leaf lovers!

Oh, I am paying attention. All I see people shaming on are the andrew tates out there and that isn’t being a man, that is being cringe.

Wait, what? WE get a day? Have I awakened in the Bizarro Universe? First I wake up to find I got out of Jury Duty, and now it’s Man’s Day? Wowee!
