So I am not usually one to complain, especially when I am loving the game 10x More then I ever thought I would. Started playing wow about a month ago now. Found a guild that I like and am able to play Feral DPS. Defeated Ragnaros, and nefarious for the first time on Sunday. And have been having an absolute blast with the game overall.
Now for the bad, while getting my feral dps spot I really want to bring my A game. And that means getting the best gear possible. Well I decided to start with hand of justice since it seemed easy enough to get and I can tank so it shouldn’t be to bad. Well after two days of dungeon lockouts and working on my third day of lockouts I am at 84 Angerforge kills and I have yet to see the trinket a single time. Which would be fine I guess if I hadn’t also seen savage gladiator chain drop twice!
Just curious on others experience with this trinket, and advice if I should move on to another piece I am missing or continue the grind.
In phase 5 it moves to the emperor with higher drop rate.

I got it second run soloing. It’s not really that good anyway.

As a druid it is possible to solo anger. That is how I got mine. Alternatively, you can do duo stealth runs with a rogue to speed the process up. Took me almost 100 solos to get but I had passed on 5 other ones to my guild’s rogues at launch.
I have soloed him a couple times but I don’t have much of the tier gear so staying alive and not running out of mana is at a high chance. About a 50% chance of defeating him solo, so I’ve found it’s not worth it. Atleast for me that is.
Yea, soloing can be challenging. I would definitely recommend duo stealth running with a rogue. Very easy and can instance cap in about 15-20 mins.
I would keep on it and get it ASAP. Higher drop chance or not I would not want to farm Emp for it.

Just keep at it. Got one on my hunter (For the memes/to open trade with melee guildies) in 3 runs, proceeded to run 131 more to get it for a friend leveling a rogue. Fortunately, we’re deep enough into the content that HoJ isn’t quite as crucial.
Yeah I will probably just keep going for it, and unfortunately for me it’s still my second best trinket available even in phase 5 because I picked the tank trinket from the upper black rock spire quest.
It’s not that great , if I was going to bang my head against rng gods for upgrades in your situation I would focus on true strike, baron cloak or cadaverous chest.
Yeah those are all good upgrades, but I seen it kind of as future proofing. Since it doesn’t get replaced like the items you mentioned do. But I definitely see what you’re saying. My next item was going to be truestrike and I heard that’s a pretty rough one to get to. But got to get it done!
I specifically mentioned those pieces because of
a: your curent gear
b: their longevity
-the hit from truestrike is very valuable.
-the only thing I’d consider replacing the cloak with until aq is Zulian tiger if you needed the hit. In aq you will be competing with a lot of hunters and rogues for the one you want. ( cloak of draconic might has yet to drop for us and is better utilized by a fury anyways )
-cadaverous is a toss up with malfurians , unfortunately it has a very low drop rate.
Hardest part about Truestrike is finding others to click the ritual table. (At this point, you could duo it if mechanics permitted.)
Lots of warriors looking for a Jed trinket and people in general farming nature res helms. Pretty easy time to find 5 man rend runs with no one needing the shoulders.
Hardest part is beating the rng gods.
well its rng. You are a druid, so just keep farming, you can do it solo. Some classes are not that lucky. Also still have a week left. IF it drop its drops, if not, well then enjoy killing the emperor.
Nothing you can do
If it makes you feel better, the hand of justice proc is not particularly strong for feral dps (especially if using MCP).
Your hit that procs the HoJ is about .1s into your swing timer, the proc itself happens a spell batch later, and then there’s another small delay before your next “extra hit” lands.
The whole delay ends up being almost a half second into your swing timer, so each proc of HoJ is only effectively about a half of an extra swing for you when unhasted.
If you are using MCP and your swing timer is .67s, each proc is only adding like a quarter of an added swing.
That said, the 20 AP on it is still nice, just dont go expecting miracles from it. It’s best when you attack slowly but get multiple chances to proc per swing like ret pals.
As far as advice for getting it? Don’t give up, and do your best to push the instance limit leading up until phase 5, as farming emperor is a chore.

Yeah we had one draconic cloak drop on Sunday, only one other person needed it and they got it which was a fury warrior. Which was fine since I was new. So hopefully another drops this Sunday and I can nab it and bulwark I am pretty much guaranteed if it drops.
I did happen to nab the neck from nefarious, and wrist guards of stability from molten core tho. So that definitely saved me some farming time.
i lvled with 3 melee - we saw 3 hoj’s in 130 runs - 2 of our guys still wanted sgc, so for offspec luls (i’m holy, dont really need a hoj) we hit the guy about 100 more times while doing arenas - and didn’t drop a 4th time - i’ve since given up - as i heal 99.99% of the time anyway. (also btw, we never saw a single sgc).
