Half the Playerbase is gone?

I actually understand your point. Sorry you feel that way about the game now. I am probably on the younger side in this convo, have played WoW for years but it def is a different game now.

Quite simple really , casuals including people who only do M+ an don’t have time to raid or interest in pvp got left for dead . Hopefully the ignorant ones at Blizz Hq get the message .

Your right, most wow players don’t even bother with the forums.
So when they leave there are no goodbye’s just another non active name on your Friends list or guild roster.

It’s coming. The quarterly will be presented in the save your asses best possible way it can be presented. ( who tells there shareholders, Sh@t is bad , it’s real bad! nobody does, they throw in some sweet talk and promise a better future and turn the numbers and start measuring from the back of the sack and talk about how things are already getting larger and looking better.

Nothing they said at blizzcon will bring me back ( I have like 8 months of free time i still wont come back or log in when im SUPER bored) I only come here too see if they somehow by miracle listened and announced those changes with an apology.
We thought WoD was bad, at least there was something to do, even if it was just gold.

Its called hiring more people instead of laying them off.

So, you didn’t buy shadowlands but you just know it is terrible. Ok

Well maybe it’s like a land mine. You don’t have step on it to know its bad. Beta, Beta, Beta. SL was terrible in Beta and they ignored the communities concerns for the game. So maybe people don’t have to purchase the expansion to know it’s bad. And now Super Data reporting a tsunami of people quitting SL. How many signs do you need before you stop walking of a cliff? /shoulder shrug

Dam you’re really mad. Calm down it’s world of warcraft

I’m not mad. Painting narratives AGAIN? What is wrong with you? You don’t get enough attention so you add USELESS comments to discussions? You might as well be posting generic memes. Go away, gnat. /swat…

Exactly…

My brother in law is an IT guy for a major east coast power company.
He says your clueless.

I mean, Oribos is basically empty in the early mornings lately On Med-ex-ria-dar

What Bellular thinks about a 41% sub drop is irrelevant.

The fact there IS a 41% is the main point. And clearly Blizzard knows it’s bad, since they are getting the .5 patch out this Tuesday. Very quick.

I mean he’s not wrong, I’m only logging in to do a couple of keys a week, zero desire to do Snorghast, zero desire to do the maw, zero desire to do any dailies, this expansion is terrible :frowning:

…which is all based on speculation.

regardless, a massive sub drop always happens within the first 3 months of an expansion.
a larger sub drop than usual was expected, due to masses of new players coming on board due to a little thing called a pandemic.

even if the statistics are correct, the sub base is still higher than it was at the end of BFA, so what’s the issue?

Wouldn’t be surprised games absolute rubbish…
Ask them for a refund, thats a good laugh

Legion was probably the last Top Tier Expansion we’ll ever get. Good lore, good trailer/cinematics, overall good systems, despite TOS… good raids, awesome new feature Mythic +, all that in an epic setting (Burning Legion Invasion and Broken Isles).

I’m glad I had a lot of free time to play it, I still remember in 7.3.5 talking to my guild mattes how even after so much time into that expansion I was still enjoying it (this is not a fallacy, you can check my armory on my Feat of Strenght Achievements you can find “The Legendary Campaign” for doing all Class Halls Campaigns, and I did it in 7.3.5).

Meanwhile, in WOD and BFA, I was tired to death before the second patch…

His video might be accurate but your title is misleading. He clearly states that the dip is standard and that the initial bump in SL sales means that the game is probably healthier overall.

But, I don’t think a lot of people commenting in this thread actually watched the vid.

They aren’t correct.

40% drop when the New Expansion Shine wears is likely pretty typical for several expansions now (with Legion seeming to have a bit more staying power, but probably not much). Keep in mind there’s always a spike when an expansion launches as well so much of this is just players getting their Retail WoW fix and moving on until the next expansion launch. From my perspective, it’s much ado about nothing unusual …

but… if enough people make up enough numbers, someone is going to be right at some stage!
