The high elf story can continue through the void elves. They need some serious lore relevance going forward.
I always liked the idea of a dragon race that uses their humanoid forms mostly which could range from half elven forms sort of like Kalecgos or Nozdormu … to humans, Orcs… any of the playable races. But then have a racial flying mount as your true form which color could be determined by your spec choice

Void elves uses a magic that consumes all things.
High elves left the blood elves because they didn’t want to use magic that consumes things.
They are 2 seperate fantasies and stories, that cannot mix together.
How many elves do we really need. We already have 4 species of elves.

Not really since high elves (which would pass the torch to half elves) had been a prevelent part of the alliance story, it’s time for that part of the story to be playable.
