Hair of color blonde and brown for the Void Elves please

Considering Sylvanas has been in the game for much, much, much longer?

Unlikely.

Not to mention that Sylvanas at some point was a copy of Alextrasza too.

The Windrunners have lack of originality coursing through their veins.

The game, yes, the saga no. Alleria looks just like she did in the second war. So her character was designed first.

In fact. Is she not the first high elf with a face tatoo? That means that the designers had to look at second war art and-for the first time- ponder, how should we depict this WC2-era artwork in our game?
Because they never had to think about that before.

Sylvanas is another one of those that has had like so many different models it’s not funny, not that I’m complaining but it’s the idea she changes left and right. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

The art of her that looks the way she does now it’s really new, many of the pieces have the year in it, and it’s not something like 2004 or something, it’s far more recent.

In those she looks like a living Sylvanas. It’s as if they told artists to portray exactly that.

Other rangers had warpaint on. I remember male high elves with that too.

The fact that she also always looked like the standard high elf someone splashed with some paint doesn’t help much either. Heck, in some of the old pen and paper art, she looks like a smaller night elf, much like Sylvanas did originally.

I’m so glad I missed the “Goth night elf” phase of Sylvanas, that would have annoyed me.

Yeah. That’s the point.

Warpaints are a classically high elven customization pattern. But the designers never bothered to put 'em in game, until they needed a classical high elf in game.

That’s why they drew her like in Tides of Darkness, because she used to wear the typical fashion of her people, and that’s how she left Azeroth.

Which is why a lot of people are asking for those for the ones who are currently carrying on with the legacy of the High Elves…

Or because they didn’t bother to come up with an actual original design that would match her “fashion”, and instead went for a recolored Sylvanas.

lol always hysterical when they try to separate this from the blood elves

honestly if they didnt spice her up with tattoos and the void elf angle, she would have been extremely generic looking

Eh. Again, agree to disagree.

I think the Blueside high elves, blood elves, and void elves all have their niches.

What does that even mean?

Is this language used to attempt to lay claim to the HE theme that is the BE main theme?

I guess many forget that the Farstriders existed during the second war.

And forget where the Farstriders are nowadays.

A few splotches of paint here and there won’t make her look unique… it would be like me jumping in a vat of pink paint and calling myself Kirby.

On a side note, I need to vibe to this kind of thing more often while posting, it keeps my mood high:

I’m old enough so that I remember giving night elf Sylvanas her necklace.

No.

Edit: okay, that was unnecessarily snarky for me. Allow me to reiterate I have no interest in Horde Aligned High Elves (blood elves) on Blueside. And the opposite is also true. What I AM interested in is a maximum of customization options covering the greatest lore friendly ground. Which includes returning high elves, dark rangers, maybe some say’lyn (is that spelled right?) looks for blood elf death knights, felblood customizations, wretched if they can do it, better scars, runic scarification, tattoos… and that’s just blood elves.

That’s scary, not that you are that old but that I had to remember she had a Night Elf model previously. Haha. :joy: :joy: :joy:

To be fair, she looked really amusing when she did the night elf bounce in her goth dress.

And she was also the pinkest night elf possible.

One cannot paste before one copies. That’s just a fact.

I still didn’t like her as a Night Elf, although it does back up about that the High Elves in WoW were originally Night Elf model copies so if Alliance side wanted the true High Elves they had originally they should have gotten the pale Night Elves rather than the Blood Elf model that was made for Horde.

Can you imagine romans complaining that the greeks copy pasted their gods?

It’s not so much complaining as stating if Alliance actually wanted what they claimed to have originally that’s what it was, there’s a difference.

I’m not sure if that sentence makes sense. But I’m pretty sure my analogy will haunt you for a long time.

It actually does, you are accusing me of complaining when I’m not, people have claimed on Alliance they had the current model of Blood Elves on Alliance first, they didn’t it was made for Horde Blood Elves then copied to Alliance for Void Elves. If you want to make accusations at least have a basis for it and make it a legitimate one at that.
