someone hacked me and used the ticket service to lock me out of getting my account restored. ive been going through my ticket history and about 5 months ago some one started putting in tickets to get the email changed to my account . the last reply says that i cant have my account revered again due to the security of the account be my sole responsibility but i was unaware any of this was taking place.i believe this was a strategy to doudl dip my accout for all the gold and items and ive submitted a ticket but i am scared the i have lost everything to a hacker
First thing is I hope you made a new email. Gmail is a good one since you can tie it to the google phone app.
Scan your computer for viruses and maleware.
They should give you a chance to prove your the account holder for this account. Hopefully one of the SFA’s will come along and give you some good advice on how to go forward.
ive changed the password and add the authenticator, also i have added a two step authenticator to my email so i am doing everything on my end to make sure this never happens again. im just worried
You do currently have access to the account? I have to ask, as otherwise you probably would not have access to the ticket history?
That they managed to do this probably means they have way too much of your information and probably have hacked your email account as well.
It’s not too unusual that a hacking group will attempt multiple times to retake an account once they have taken it once. I would suggest really scrubbing your PC for any active malware or even check for remote access software. Team viewer, remote viewer and logme in are just a few that come to my mind.
I would also suggest making a new email once you have access to a pc or smart phone, so once you have retrieved your account, you can change it. Then make sure you have added the authenticator and SMS protect (both have a need for a smart phone with text capability, sorry) to double down on your account security.
If you are posting on a different account then the one that is hacked, a mod might need to know which account you are referring to, a Bnet tag or even character/server might be all that will be needed.
Either way, the only way to continue this is tickets. Usually if a GM can verify an actual compromise they will usually do their best to recover the account as much as possible, there would no way to revert it completely back to pre-compromise, but they will try.
yes i do i just purchased play time and upon logging in all of my late game characters are naked my, all the gear and gold is gone. ive been digging around in my purchases and ticket history to do my part in finding out was was going on. i also am willing to give them whatever information they need to prove its mine
afraid unless this is very recent there will not be much they can do. They might be able to give you a care package of gear for your characters so they are not fighting naked. But logs do not last for very long. So unless they can see what was removed and by who they can not restore.

yes tickets are kept a lot longer but talking about logs to show what was removed from your characters and where the gold went too. Plus show the ip they connected from and so on. With out those logs they can not restore as it was before they got in
well at this point im just upset about the gold i had. gear i can farm again
Well if your on retail you can get more gold with a token. Just make sure your not using the same email address you had before. The hacker could still have access to it and either way they would know half of your info to log in.
its just kind of defeating trying to comeback to find out its all gone. hope they reply to my ticket
