Why was my friend told he has to wait 30 days to get his account recovered??? That is a complete load of Garbage and a lie, i’ve gotten my account back SAME DAY before.
He woke up to 50+ Blizz Verfication emails and his account banned. He is telling me he can’t play for a month now. That is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and COMPLETELY WRONG FOR YOU TO IMPOSE THAT WHEN YOU CAN SAME DAY RECOVER IT.
I will provide username/email if a Blizzard rep appears to ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOB.
Not sure why its gona take 30 days but if thats what blizzard says then the best thing your friend can do is make sure he finds the source of the comprimise malawarescan/virus put a authenticator change account email. And only ur friend should be dealing with blizzard they will only deal with the account holder.
Oh yes i would see that but this is clear cut discrimination against this player itself. Blizzard isnt doing their job, they are providing this customer with 0 support, 0 help, and 0 assistance that is given to other PAYING Customers.
I can understand a 30 turn around. Blizzards’s gotta go through a TON of logs to see what damage was done to your friends characters and try to restore what they can, not something they can do instantaneously.
ALot of MMO wont do this if blizzard didnt care they would just say reroll they actualy will restore toons gear pets I was comprimised back in LK and they went above and beyond to restoring all my toons this kinda thing takes time.
Weird how I can have my account recovered after being hacked and not found for a week… and resolve the issue within the hour. They can resolve hacks that only lasted 24 hours for the effected, all this stuff easily is done same day to as far as 2 business days. But now all the sudden they can’t? ya no, not acceptable from a consumer level.
I understand your anger but this is between your friend and Blizzard. Vrak has offered to take a peak, far and above beyond regular service if you will provide him a name and realm.
Please bear in mind, though, he can only look and perhaps maybe shed some light.
But discrimination? I think even you know you are reaching on that one.
One possible thought that comes to mind… Is this in Classic perhaps? Classic does not have the same tools available as retail, and that is why I ask and pose the theory this might be why it will take so long.
In the meantime your friend needs to scrub his system clean. This goes far beyond virtual items. His banking and cc logins, sites where his card are saved etc, could possibly be compromised as well.
