>[H] T.D.C RP/PvP/PvE<

:skull:What is T.D.C?:skull:

The Desolate Commissariat, formerly the Desolate Conclave. We’re an undead centric (but not exclusive) RP guild that has a shadow government theme; that’s right we’re a literal skeleton government. We’ve three branches focusing on military, statecraft and mad science respectively so we’ve tried to create an environment where any character can find a role. Outside RP we focus on organized PvP and Mythic Dungeons.

:skull:Where is T.D.C?:skull:

Whenever candlelights flicker, where the air is deathly still, that is the time when we are present, practicing our ghoulish delight.
Seriously though we tend to hold our RP events in the parts of Shadowfang Keep accessible in the overworld, as well as the Sepulcher, though we’ve been known to lurk in Dalaran sewers, the Cleft, the Pools of Vision, Raven’s Hill Cemetery and anywhere else monster mashes are prone to breaking out.

:skull:Who is T.D.C?:skull:

The Desolate Commissariat is run by a Desolate Council of Governors, led by a Prime Governor. The Prime Governor has veto powers but cannot overrule a majority vote. Additionally, many large decisions are decided by the people, with in character or in app voting. Players rank up by attending guild events, contributing to our goals, and can obtain Officer status by successfully organizing, advertising and hosting either an established TDC event or one of their own invention.

Thank you ever so much, nobody ever asks that. Overall, we try to create a friendly and playful atmosphere here. The only behavioral rules are don’t be a prick or a bigot. Beyond that, general rule of thumb is don’t say something you wouldn’t say if you were in arm’s reach. Otherwise the only strict rule is you must have an in-game uniform transmog. Black and Purple are our colors. Additionally, get a spooky mount. Any will do but the Purple Skeletal Warhorse is the ole’ reliable in a pinch. Flying mounts are more difficult in that regard so, be neat if you can get something spooky but don’t stress over it.

:skull:Why is T.D.C?:skull:

Honestly, we had a more complex idea for a RP guild we hadn’t really seen done yet. Many RP guilds were racially exclusive and the other Forsaken led guilds at the time didn’t really have a motivation beyond “I’m a prick because I’ve a skull for a face”. So, we Frankenstein’s Monstered together TDC, which like the monster has many, many stolen parts, to create a more nuanced environment where any RPer could conceivably find a home. A lot of themes have been taken from the history books, but if you took a DNA swab, you’d find some Star Wars, 40k, SCP Foundation and Resident Evil in there to be certain. It can be a tonal mess sometimes but all in all we feel that we’ve created a wholly unique story-telling apparatus and fun-loving community with our weird little experiment, and would be delighted if you’d want in.

Be sure to bring your death certificate if you decide to join us. Make final arrangements now. We’ve been DYING to have you.

Why the switch? New leadership?

Nope. Honestly Conclave had bothered me for awhile. I’d, somewhat embarrassingly, forgot it was also the name of the Priest Order Hall.

And after Slyvanas left there was no reason to be secretive, so the name made even less sense. So we had a long discussion on what to change it to. We were married to the TDC brand already so, had to go with a C word (weird to use that phrase in a neutral context).

We landed on Commissariat as it can mean State or Organization. The Etheral faction already used Consortium, and Confederacy is a touch loaded so, here we are.

While the armistice still stands between official forces of the Horde and Alliance, terrorist attacks from Alliance affiliated organizations are at an all time high.

In response people are joining the fight for the Horde’s future. They’re doing their part, are you? Join the Graveguard and save the world.

Service. Guarantees. Citizenship.

Did you know?

Contrary to popular belief the Undercity Plaguebat is not undead and were created through a selective breeding and genetic enhancement program started by RAS in 25ADP.

Due to their size Plague pups cannot acheive flight until adolescence and are cared for in specialized nursery belfries by qualified handlers.

While their round and cuddly nature can make them seem the perfect pet, plaguepups mature rapidly after year one and are a lifelong commitment that should only be undertaken by a dedicated owner willing to give one a forever home.

Contact a Desolate Commissariat Chiropterologist to learn if you qualify for plaguebat adoption.

In these unprecedented times it can feel like any plans for the future can go up in smoke at a moment’s notice. How can you know the gold or property you left in your last will and testament will go to your heirs? The gold could be looted, and the property may’ve been destroyed by another Old God incursion.

Why leave it up to chance when you can return from the grave to make sure it’s all handled properly?

Thanks to TDC’s Department of Inhuman Services, alternate mortality may soon be an option for all the races of Azeroth. File an application with DIS personal if you’d like to volunteer for trial experiments for a shot at a life that only ends when you want it to!*.

*Barring severe physical & mental trauma

*Side effects may include: feral hunger for flesh, screamer’s influence, phantom lung disorder, the red thirst, & shadow sentiment syndrome

In these unprecedented times, it’s important to remember that concepts like friendship and care aren’t just abstract platitudes. But ideals that one has to hold themselves too.

That’s why the tireless Apothecaries of the Desolate Commissariat are proud to run the Desolate Clinic which has proudly provided free medical care to all Horde citizens since 32ADP.

Now hear this;

The Commissariat’s forces remain deployed to aid allies and assets against the Scourge incursion.

The Graveguard root out the infestation of Cultists in Darkshire. The Bureau aids in supplying defenders at the Crossroads. The Department remains steadfast in their research on the nature of the emboldened rotbrain menace.

Her Ladyship Baroness Kathryn Elizabeth Perenolde Silverlaine Von Faustadt has arrived in Orgrimmar to aid in overseeing the defense of the Horde capitol, while Prime Governor Benedict marshals forces in Icecrown to combat the threat head on.

Well, lookin’ like somebody did a real number on the sky up in Coldcrown. So, figure we’re gon’ have to do somethin’ 'bout it.

Bossman say he knows some Bolvard Fordwagon fella that got some ideas on how to fix it. So, iffin yer interested in sortin that out rally in Orgrimmar.

"The Maldraxxi have come to regard me as a sort of curiosity. A ‘living’ undead seems a confusing prospect to many of the souls not torn from Azeroth, and my use of the Light to shackle and smolder their enemies just heaps on further levels of bewilderment.

Thankfully however these are not a dogmatic sort. They value only what yields results, and results I can provide. I can only hope the other agents of the Commissariat are getting along as well with the other Great Houses of the afterlives they’ve been dispatched to investigate"

Couple if updates.

We’ve started a weekly mythic team and are in the process of starting one for RPvP as well.

As always all our welcome but in particular we’re in need of tanks and could certainly use more Rogues for the PvP plans.
