Yīngsù Village lies hidden in the mountains of Pandaria, South of Kun Lai, West of the Jade Forest, and North of the Valley of the Four Winds. It is a rocky, windswept and remote place, where few crops grow and the nights are cold.
Like rubbish blown in the wind, drifters, thieves and renegades have made their way to the Village over the centuries, and calling it their home. To survive, they offer their services, ever discreetly, to the towns and cities below, trading knife-work and smuggling for rice and solitude.
Whether by birth or adoption, the inhabitants of this secret place are members of a family. A family with customs, which must be obeyed, for the safety of the town and its people. For life in Yīngsù Village is frail and fleeting, but made stronger by bonds of blood and deed.

Yīngsù Village is a year and a half old now, and though we weathered the usual "end of expac slump," we've come out stronger for it. We're a roleplay guild on Hordeside Wryrmest Accord, devoted interpersonal story, based on themes of interdependence, honor, crime and ethics. We are inspired loosely by legends of Ninja and Brigand villages in Japan and throughout Asia, who were said to have eked out a living in remote, barren places, and survived by the sword and subterfuge when they could not grow enough food or command enough respect.
We welcome mature, even-keeled roleplayers who have a strong distinction between In-Character and Out-Of-Character, who are willing to engage in stories that explore the hearts and minds of criminals, good and bad. Our goal is to present players with challenging, morally difficult situations, and to reward them with an impactful, emotional payoff. With a strong “Play to Lose” mentality, we recognize that the best tales often have sad endings, but are more memorable for it, and that power comes at a great cost.
We have a low-key, friendly OOC culture and have a robust sense of humor. We run weekly tavern nights, at least bi-weekly "crime nights" (official RP events), and both players and staff are allowed to run their own events, so long as they loosely adhere to the guild's theme.

Yeah these guys are cool. 10/10 would join again on a different character.
Hidden? You just told us it's location in the first paragraph.
All kidding aside, I've heard great things about these guys so will also up vote 10/10

This is a really awesome concept and an awesomely written recruitment post! For those that can't be bothered to read the website but are curious where you RP because they want to interact:
You can reach out to our officers or members in-game with a whisper! We also tend to roleplay in the Veiled Stair, and increasingly in Orgrimmar and Zandalar.
I wasn't with this guild from the beginning but as someone who started playing in the summer of last year this has been the guild I was with the longest, and still am to this day. Right now I don't think there's any place I would rather be.
I wanted to add some thoughts of questions that pop up frequently when I was in this guild. The answers I have are just my interpretation, as I feel like other people would have an answer of their own that fits just as well.
What does "Pandaren-related" mean in the advertisement?
Yingsu has for the most part been a majority-Pandaren guild, and originally our standards on non-pandaren joining was particularly strict, until we made an IC initiative to branch out to outsiders. However, I feel that the connecting thread between all these characters has been the land and the village itself.
We've had a number of monks from other races where the region and the rp fits the theme of their character. On the other spectrum we've had mercenaries who want to get away from the faction conflict. These people are not Pandaren but they feel like they have a reason they are here, sometimes it's to have a fresh start, and other times it's just purely for the profit to be gained IC. I actually think it's very interesting when we have outsiders as well, who are getting a take on Pandaren that are less idealistic than the stereotypes they had of them before.
Either way I don't think it's a deficit to not be a Pandaren in the Yingsu Village at all. Uncle's orcish may be horrible and he might have some rude things to say about being an elf or orc but we have welcomed many types here.
Wait, so your character is a bad guy?
This has been another thing that has cropped up a few times personally when I was rping a character from the Yingsu Village. I think it comes from a sort of simplistic view on criminal characters and guilds. Some people are definitely here as bad guys. Others are people making the best out of a bad situation. Others just see it as a way of life. Others just don't care or find it to be a thrill.
No one should have to feel like they are locked into being a certain "type" by being in this guild. It may be harder to justify some of your motives if your character is lawful good (say, a paladin or Shado-pan) but there have been some very down-to-earth, friendly, nurturing and kind characters. I've played the fluffiest bear mom in this guild who was told she could even find a way to get along with naga with the disposition she had and it's been interesting to do.
My final thoughts are I am excited for anyone who wants to join and looking forward to the stories and adventures we can have as a guild. It's been a strange year but a very fun one and I am looking forward to more in the future.

Oh this sounds really fun. I have been meaning to roll a panda and "go ham" on the Cooking skill.
Could your Village maybe use a Tavern Mom that moonlights as an appraiser/fence?
Or is there a role you feel the group could use more of?
I tend to play characters leaning more towards Goody Two Shoes so I think a test/change is in order - if you'd have me.

Sounds like this guild is pandaren' to criminals, but I'll put it on paws before you have to bear any further pandamonium.
In all seriousness, this is a great group of people and you should totally check it out.

I actually don't think we've had a character that played a fence yet. I feel like the closest we had to that is that we do have some mages who have been keen on relics, artifacts, and scrolls. I do not think we have a particular role so severely underrepresented that we'd ask someone to play something other than the idea they had in mind (as long as that idea fits the theme).
I hope that helps answer your question! <:
My comment is mostly towards the members OOC since I've been with the guild for about a year now, but haven't been able to roleplay with them again until recently, but they're good folk. Kind, with neat characters and interesting storylines!
It's a good place to come to for pandaren-themed but not exclusive roleplay. Can't wait to meet more great folk who join!

Xav, your incredible crit during the 1st season final battle is still remembered by all.
"And .... the Yaungol begin to flee the enormous screaming infernal."

OSH PLEASE STOP THIS IS SNOUT APPROPRIATE! FUR REAL!
This sounds awesome and might work for my character concept maybe, it's a bit unconventional. But I filled out an application with my fingers crossed. Thanks in advance!
I wanted to give this thread a bump since I am running an event tomorrow and I'm pretty excited. I do like to have my events open to people outside the guild as well so they can see some of what can happen sometimes (though these events often involve IC crime, so you'd want to bring a character with an open mind).
It'll be tomorrow at 4:00 PM server time and happening in Kul Tiras (using the uninstanced Tol Dagor), dealing with the pickup of a shipment of anchorweed. Whisper me on Xiaolen in game if you want to attend around that time.

Bumping since we're having a tavern night tonight in the Veiled Stair (Tavern in the Mists) at 6 PM server time. I also decided to move the event mentioned in my last post to this Sunday, at 4 PM.
I wanted to bump this again since we've been getting more things done. A storyline is being worked into the guild, there's been an effort to try and get more people included and involved on that and I've been trying to DM different scenarios outside of tavern night.
Weekly crime nights are hopefully coming back with the first one being tomorrow night. Tavern nights have also started to feed in a bit of the plotline but is generally still relaxed. Tavern nights are still open to people who want to visit and pass through, while crime nights can involve some people outside of the guild if they run it by me first and their character is a criminal.
There's a tumblr page now but the wordpress is still where new recruits should go to. Still, if anyone is interested in the news of the Yingsu Village and see how some things work for it, you can check it out here: https://yingsuvillage.tumblr.com/
I just ask if someone is wanting to act on the knowledge of what goes on in some of the events there they run it by me first.
