[H-RP] The Wolfmane Tribe

August Feather Ceremony

Traditionally a Feather Ceremony is hosted with our hooves connected to the Earthmother. On a high mountain, within a medicine circle, or some other place of strong spiritual energy... this month, however, the Wolfmane had to settle for holding the Feather Ceremony on a ship surrounded by crude, rude pirates! An awkward situation to be sure, but this sacred ritual must be undergone, regardless of the situation.

Honor Feathers
- Dahote Wolfheart. You demonstrated not only great strength during the Strength Games, but also great kindness and compassion in tending to tribemates injured during the games.
- Hossa Ravenfeather. You saved the High Brave's life. Your quick reaction and determination to protect your tribemates saved him, and we thank you.
- Jun'taro. While the tribe rushed after thieves, you stayed behind to put out the flames that threatened our homes, our supplies, and our young and weak. Sometimes, great honor is not found in battle.
- Karanga Featherspear. When we confronted the Cliffspear chieftain, you ordered the tribe to not take any more lives, and instead spared the the Cliffspear and swore to help them find a better path in life.
- Ravvok Bloodtotem. Like Karanga, you too talked down the Cliffspear chieftain and brought an end to anymore needless suffering. The greatest victory is one in which no blood is spilled.
August Update

And here it is! The month of the release of Battle for Azeroth! Admittedly, most of us were rather, uhh... preoccupied this month so not truly a ton to discuss this time around. But, regardless, here we go!

OOC News
With the release of BfA a lot of us have been left to wonder just where we want the storyline to go. I think everyone can agree that Zandalar and Kul'tiras are gorgeous, and there's some amazing role play spots! Maybe not as nice as Highmountain, but if they had more tauren it'd be good. Regardless, while Wolfmane does not falter in our neutrality we have been thinking of ways we might potentially get involved in the two new continents, though unfortunately no good excuse to explore the new zones have cropped up. Regardless, we shall continue to enjoy our Pandaria storyline in the meantime!

Also, a congratulations is in order to Celebrim, the first one of the tribe to hit 120, and just in the early morning hours of the next day, too! Celebrim is showing the tribe that even those hairless and pink can still kick some butt!

IC News
The tribe went to the docks of Ratchet, where we met with those who would be escorting us across the sea to Pandaria. However, first impressions were not entirely the best, as we were introduced to our captain and his crew of worgen pirates. Still, despite high tensions, things got along well enough, and we settled in for pirate week!

Our day were rather uneventful, at first. Mostly everyone just tried to not vomit over the ship. However, being stuck in such close quarters, with no escape, for some time caused tensions to rise, not just between the Wolfmane and the crew, but within the tribe itself. But even in the face of arguments and hurt feelings, the tribe continued to pull together, and support one another.

However, it wasn't long before a terrible situation arose. A Venture Co ship, and the captain declared we would attack. Not having much a choice, the Wolfmane joined in the assault, fighting back the goblins and other sorts while the worgen took what valuables they could. What started off as a terrible enough event, however, turned horrific when, as the Wolfmane prepared to return to the ship, they saw some of the Venture Co being led down into the hull in chains, and left there. And as the crew also returned to the ship, the captain ordered the Venture Co ship to be set on fire. A fight very nearly broke out between Wolfmane and the crew, but the situation was de-escalated at the calm reminder of some tribemates that we were helpless, out on the sea. Until we were back on land, there was nothing we could really do. We were at the pirates' mercy.

This was proven further when, some nights later, the Wolfmane tried to play a simple game to lighten spirits, only to have the pirates join in and the game take a darker turn. Games ended uncomfortably.

It was a great relief then when at long last land came into view. The ship pulled into the harbor of the fishing village, Sri La, and we came ashore, relieved both to be on dry land again and to no longer suffer the poor behaviors of the pirates. And though the pirates left us a pretty hefty chest full of gold for our share in the plunder, it was safe to assume that the Wolfmane would not be tagging along on any pirate ships again for some time.
I am learning much of my world, expanding beyond the reaches of the peaks and valleys of Highmountain. Currently here in the Jade Forest, of Pandaria, this land holds many wonders, ones I hope to explore.
((I'm really bad at keeping up with updates I'm sorry.))

September Update

OOC News
This month we got back to doing storyline events after our month of playing the new expansion! It's an interesting challenge, trying to traverse an expansion all about faction war while being a neutral guild, but we're making our way through!

IC News
The tribe settled in Sri La for a time, where for a while we just enjoyed the peaceful setting, playing strength games and interacting with one another. However, it wasn't long before a pandaren approached us, alerting us of issues plaguing a nearby mine and requesting our assistance.

As it turned out, Azerite had made an appearance in the mine and was being consumed by the little creatures that lived there, trapping miners. And so we delved into the mines, seeking the lost pandaren and trying to cull the Azerite infused critters along the way. Eventually, however, we came upon a great beast, infused with Azerite, and after a brief and yet brutal fight we emerged victorious, though not without injuries. We crawled our way out of the mine, assuring that we would stand guard over the mine for a few more days to ensure all would be well. And in the process, we reburied the Earthmother's blood, returning it to her, as it should be.

There was trouble further north, as well, and so despite not wanting to leave the peaceful fishing village we packed up our bags and made our way to the Tian Monastary, only getting lost a couple of times along the way. This was a strange land, unknown to most of the Wolfmane, and we were in awe of our surroundings as we traversed the strange land.

Eventually we made it to the Monastary, and after resting a time a hunting party was sent out to explore and get food. After all, we did not know of the good hunting grounds here, and we needed food. However, the hunters quickly became the hunted, as distressed tigers attacked us repeatedly. And though we got our food, it was not without injury, and concerns regarding the obviously upset wildlife.

More scouts were sent out to find out what happened to disturb the beasts. And eventually, we found the cause: Venture Co had found a place where Azerite had appeared, and were mining all that they could. After accidentally revealing ourselves to the Venture Co and narrowly escaping, we came up with a plan of attack...

To all the prairie dogs walking about in Thunderbluff. Iā€™m sorry for potentially stepping on you. :frowning:

We were very mean to those poor prairie dogs last night. :frowning:

Atop one of many mountains in the Jade Forest, the tribe gathered for its monthly Feather Ceremony yet again, joined by allies within the Stormhowl Clan. There we celebrated and feasted and enjoyed one anotherā€™s company in the peaceful Pandaria air.

One of your members mentioned the guild at an RP event a few weeks ago. Are you still active and recruiting? This old bull could use a home.
