(H-RP) The Skyrunner Tribe- Disbanded

OOC Update
Just wanna give a huge welcome to some of our newest members. Mal’kara, Goro’tash, Mukaw, Dara, and Harkerhome. We’re all very excited that you’ve jumped on board and I know I speak for everyone in the guild when I say that we are looking forward to sharing in our epic story with you.

IC Update
With the Tribe on the mend after the Black Feather Sickness Kanatu thought that his people might enjoy some peace for a time. Unfortunately one of his people had gotten a letter from an orc named Korgig. He had spent some time in the tribe as a temporary smith to repay the debt owed for saving his skin out in Desolace. It would turn out that perhaps the Tribe would be his only hope again as when he returned to Orgrimmar he was put in jail for starting a brawl fight.

Recognizing not only that he had an opportunity to listen to one of his people who wished to help, but also the services of a valuable smith Kanatu made the choice to take his people to Orgrimmar to buy his way out of the cell. While there they raised funds not only for his release but for gold that would go to resupplying the village after the Black Feather Sickness as well as allow improvements on their village lands.

When they returned home they at once made plans to remove the elves, whom they learned called themselves The Forgotten, from Desolace. Using information gathered from Vul’mon, Wal’ami, and Aja’it the tribe would eventually succeed in that goal. Scattering their forces and destroying their keep. Though this was perhaps at too great a price as not only were many of the tribe wounded but they lost one of their own. Okunn Thornspire, a Windwarrior and skilled Druid among their ranks.

Character Promotions and New Arrivals
Promotions

  • Jaeva Leafmender took her Right of Vision from traditional Tauren rites.
  • We were able to bail out Korgig Strongblade from the Orgrimmar jails and he quickly joined the Tribe as a Tribesman once they returned home. We’re pleased to accept his skills as a Blacksmith.

Arrivals

  • A Raptari druid named Mal’kara has come to the village. Having seen the Tribe during their last trip to Orgrimmar she tagged along, interested by some of what she saw.
  • An orcish veteran named Goro’tash Steelblade has also joined the tribe. Having encountered them on a simple escort contract which the tribe took to help raise funds to get Korgig out of jail. The orc also followed the tribe home, curious about the orcs in their number and the unique qualities of the Tribe’s political stances.
  • Mukaw Ashhorn joined the tribe at perhaps one of their more stressful moments. On the eve before storming the Keep of The Forgotten he spotted the camp of the tribe on the way to their village. Though a complete stranger he offered to lend his aid in battle alongside the Tribe.

The Tribe has managed to defeat their greatest foe yet, though not without great cost. The elves calling themselves The Forgotten are broken or fled, but Okunn Thornspire bought the victory with his life.

Howdy ho, Forums, long time, no update.

With the close of one campaign, the Skyrunners are well into our next.

With the threat of the Forgotten handled for the time being, the Tribe has shifted focus to the future. Several groups have traveled out from the village to begin gathering materials for the next grand plan of building a skyship for the tribe. Several key strides have already been made, but the goal is still a long way off.

In the meantime, Kanatu has traveled to Mount Hyjal to reconnect with his shamanistic roots. The journey has been long, and some in the village are beginning to voice concerns about his extended absence.

With Kanatu’s return to the tribe, things, however briefly, returned to normalcy. The skyship is well into its construction, and things are beginning to look up.

However, one of our own, long thought lost, has been found. Now, the tribe races to bring him home.

Short post tonight, brain am fried.

This guild has been an absolute joy to be in. It feels much more like a grand tabletop group than a guild, and the RP is so collaborative that it’s almost criminal.

To pick up where Enyetof left off:
While trying to get the lay of the land and discern the approximate size of our enemy’s base, two of our own got captured. Only a day later, the enemy made a play to strike up a bargain-- a trap! But we were prepared!

We killed one of their own, and took three prisoner for ourselves. Now, we rally our forces and await reinforcements before making the final push. Win or lose, we need to give it our all if we’re to bring our tribemates home.

After a long and difficult battle, the Skyrunners have recovered those who were lost. Now the tribe takes time to rest and recover, with only a teeny, tiny bit of looting.

Victory came with a price, however. Most everyone was injured in the battle, and two of the tribes prized wyverns lie dead.

Been a while, but the Skyrunners are still alive and kicking.

Something has disturbed the wyverns of Thousand Needles, and Kanatu has taken a group east to honor the ancient pact the Skyrunners have with the noble beasts. In addition, the group is gathering resources to finish construction of the zeppelin. Namely, fuel.

Korgig, meanwhile, has taken his own group southward. Fanciful tales of treasure and adventure have led the group into forgotten caverns, though none who have gone in seem to have come out. The group may be well in over their heads.

The tribe also has a new arrival in Ilgast, a hunter who has thrown himself behind the tribe.

With the trouble in the tunnels solved and the tribe reunited, Korgig’s group now travels to Feralas in search of answers as to what the ogre Olokas was planning. The tribe has met with the leader of a group of ogres, and now head towards Dire Maul.

Iko, meanwhile, has set off alone to assess the situation regarding the Highperch wyverns. The vulpera has a nose for trouble. Here’s hoping it serves her well.

Gearing up for some deep character dives as we wait for Shadowlands! Gonna pester everyone with discord and game pings for weeks.

After looking into Dire Maul, it’s clear that whatever Olokas has done has affected the local elementals. Now the tribe works to undo the corruption, one small step at a time. Led by Doomwinter, the tribe attempts to purge to corruption from the first of many elementals.

In other news, The Skyrunner Tribe is once again open for recruitment! If you’re interested, feel free to contact either Kanatu or Korgig.

After a long, long endeavor, the skyship has been completed. Now named The Windchaser, the ship rises from Desolace and turns it’s bow north.

In OOC news, as Kanatu said, we’re gearing up for some deep dives on characters heading into Shadowlands. We are also taking a brief hiatus on in-game events and preparing for a guild leveling party. Discord RP is still going strong, and in-game events will resume on January 4th.

Good hunting, all, and we’ll see you in Northrend.

Oh wow, I just perused through your website and it looks very well put together. I really like your guild’s theme!

Much appreciated! The website is a labor of love on Kanatu’s part, and personally, I think it shows.

Oh it does! I just wish I didn’t work overnights or I’d try to join, it really intrigues me. I’d only be at the events for an hour and a half though so I dont think that would work x3

We’re back, baby!

IC information: The Tribe has arrived in Northrend, and met up with a few familiar faces. The arrival of thee Windchaser has attracted quite a bit of notice, whether for good or ill. A recent hunt and encounters with the Scourge have left morale among the tribe low, but they now turn east, toward Dragonblight and beyond.

OOC Information: After a few events to iron out the new encounter system, the Skyrunners are back in business. We’re currently preparing to kick off our next campaign proper. The Tribe is still recruiting! Feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions.

Current Campaign: Winds of the North

((Starting today January 4th through the end of summer))

With the Helm of Domination fractured and broken the Scourge is without a Lich King. It was always known by many of power within the world of Azeroth that there would always need to be a Lich King to maintain the Scourge and keep them from overwhelming the lands of the living. The Will of the Lich King through the helm was all that kept them back. Now with the greatest heroes of Azeroth and many of the faction leaders missing the world cowers before the mindless, and leaderless scourge. The Skyrunner Tribe has traveled North to combat this dark tide and make safe the world that they have vowed to protect. Tribesman and Ally alike will be forced to face their pasts, long-dead kin, even their own dreams as they find who is leading the scourge now, what they want, and learn if they have the strength and guile to survive the Frozen North.

While much of Azeroth has moved on from Northrend, its peoples still fight both the harsh environment and the hungry Scourge. From stubborn soldiers who never left after wars come before, to Northrend’s native peoples who fight to keep their vibrant cultures alive, there is still much to see and do in the frozen north.

OOC: The Skyrunners are recruiting like-minded roleplayers looking to experience immersion in the detailed world in which we all play, and where character choices small and large have impact on the story and setting. Questions are welcome.

So far Northrend has offered its bounty and splendor to the tribe. From the breathtaking beauty of the hoarfrost on the trees in Dragonblight to the hospitality and culture of the Taunka and Tuskarr the Tribe has found their footing in the frozen north. Though as time moves forward the need for their skills in combat have been called upon. Protecting the holdings of the living as well as seeing to the health of the land itself the tribe is called to Zul’Drak where members of the Cult of the Damned are poking about the old Drakkari ruins. For what we do not yet know but if those fiends want something it’s in the best interest of all to stop them.

OOC: My Co-GM and I are having an absolute blast in northrend with the guild. Watching PCs who have such rich history in the lore and setting of the continent and even those who have not been exposed to it at all, or at least not to the beautiful parts has really been a treat. We’ve worked through the campaign set up to get the ball rolling, met a few interesting NPCs and Characters to aid us on our way, and chosen a course that will test all the players in their story crafting and their skills ICly.

Remade my moo on server and been looking for a Guild for her, I’m curious about you guys and love the ideas you all have for RP etc. But how active is everyone? I’m pretty much on daily when not needing to do stuff for my main/raiding. (the one I’m posting with xD)

The guild is small in numbers to be sure but there’s activity daily. From those who are running content to continual RP going on in the discord in the downtime between events. You’re more than welcome to join the discord server to talk with us and poke around!
