[H] Returning DPS Raider LF Home

About Me
Hi there, I’m a 31 year old dude, married with a full time job and a 3 year old daughter. I thoroughly enjoy memes and hanging with other people that don’t take themselves very seriously. I enjoy poking fun, talking about big topics in Discord (both about the game and not) and just having a good time and making friends.

I’m looking to come back and raid Heroic for AOTC every patch. I have raided Mythic since the end of Legion. I took a large break in BFA midway through Mythic Uldir progression because I wasn’t enjoying the game. I came back hard in Shadowlands with a Mythic guild in 9.0. I stopped playing midway through Mythic Castle Nathria progression for personal reasons and Shadowlands wasn’t appealing to me. I’m a hardcore player at heart but I absolutely do not have the time to play that I once did to maintain my character at a Mythic standard.

Availability
I’m looking for a weekend raiding guild (1-2 nights) that has or will have open spots in the coming months for someone returning to the game. I’m available any night of the week 9pm-12am EST, and extended hours for Thursday/Friday/Saturday 9pm-1:30am EST.

Why I’m Coming Back
Dragonflight and their philosophy shift away from borrowed power and back to the core game alone has me stoked for the future of the game. 9.2 and 9.2.5 have been a step in the right direction and I’m starting to see a familiar face in the Blizz I used to trust to get it right or at least partially right.

I’ve kept an eye on the state of the game and the company the entire past 2 years since I’ve quit waiting for a reason to play again but I didn’t want to grind all the nonsensical systems. Now that I know I will be playing Dragonflight I want to find a place and a guild to call home going into it in 2023.

What I Want in a Guild
I’m looking for a group that’s potentially just like me, a bunch of washed up Mythic raiders that want to enjoy the game and/or have real life obligations and just can’t put the time in anymore to raid at the highest level but are still a good group of players that know their stuff and just want to have fun. I know this is a big ask as I’m going to be starting at square 1 with nothing and have to work my way to current ilvl/every other system I’ve missed.

At the very least I want the group that I land with to not take themselves seriously but still enjoy min/maxing their character and pushing them to the highest point they can even though at a certain gear level heroic bosses fall over. The fun of an RPG to me is making my character as powerful as I can and to become as skilled as I can with their toolkit. I enjoy PvP/M+ and all other side activities as well but raiding will be my focus when I come back to the game.

My Intentions
I intend to return to the game casually in the next week on the server of the guild I decide to roll with. I will need to do absolutely everything from setting up my UI/addons again all the way to leveling up a new character (still deciding on class). I would like to say that I will be raid ready by 9.2.5 (if the catch-up is decent) and I’m looking to experience the old raids with their tuned up difficulty and just start meshing with a group of people inside raid and out and have a solid place to call home going into Dragonflight.

Hi There,
I’m gonna leave a link for our guild spam below, I think you might be a good fit for us. Check us out and if your interested I’d love to chat with you about it.

My raid hours are a bit too early for you or I’d be all about you, but this is a very well written LFG post. Take my bump.

Hi. I think you might be a good fit for our AOTC guild, Moonwell Dancers.

Founded in February 2005, Moonwell Dancers is a casual, friendly Alliance guild on the Uldum server.

We play World of Warcraft for fun, and the guild has grown based on the idea that players can reach their shared goals in a friendly atmosphere far more effectively than in the cutthroat environment typical of so-called “raiding” guilds. We raid. We just have fun doing it. We raid Fri/Sat 5-730pm PST. We also run m+ throughout the week.

We also have achievement seekers. And battleground and arena gurus. We’re knowledgeable and helpful. And we have plenty of casual players who just like to explore what Azeroth has to offer.

If you’re still interested, my btag is Epsilonp#1422.

Thanks so much for all the interest so far and kind words! I’m really looking primarily for a Horde guild at this time.

Updated the raid availability. A weekend raiding guild is still preferred but open to any night based on the times listed!
