The reason given was that “it’s to help gear alts quicker”, yet nobody wants to take anyone under 4600 gear score. Nobody wants the terrible M+ system forced into classic, especially when you’re just making the game worse.
Look at the people queued & invite a tank. Then invite a healer. Then invite a couple of dps. Ask them about their gs and/or experience… or don’t. It’s completely your call. Get the dungeon done for whatever reward you were hoping for & move on to the next one.
Your heroic plus experience is NOT limited to getting invited into groups formed by other people.
Except it is lmao. People just drop group when they see low GS. Making a group doesn’t change that, even on large servers.
I think Blizz never said that officially, it was players that assumed this.
Edit: Even if they did say that literally, it doesn’t mean that “gear alts quicker” meant fresh 80’s, that could be helping pre raid bis/naxx geared people get Naxx pieces fast to step on Ulduar.
Take your Terrible garbage takes elsewhere. You know you have nothing of value to say wuen you try to claim heroic plus is mythic plus lol.git gud scrub.
A wise man once told me that gear score doesn’t equal good performance. We ran a undergeared DK the other day that kept apologizing for thier low GS and low DPS. But this DK didn’t die and didn’t do anything wildly bad to hinder us in any way.
We rewarded him with any loot that helped him out and for that act he was tremendously thankful. Just don’t die to mechanics a ton and rely on tons of extra padded stamina to get carried and you’ll be fine. Gear score doesn’t matter to players that know better. It only matters to scrubs who think it matters… So don’t play with scrubs.
Let me guesss… bene alliance? Hehe
Literally been running them on 3100 gear score alts while using the LFG tool and finding groups within 10 minutes.
All week. You just suck at finding or making groups.
I’ve never dropped group because someone had a low GS.
If they’re doing the work to make a group, they already have bonus points in my opinion.
If people are dropping group because they’re fearful of your GS, those aren’t the players you probably want in your group anyways. GS doesn’t equate to skill, and a high one isn’t required for the dungeons.
This actually isn’t 100% accurate. Look up the dev chat video from November. They specified what their thinking was in regards to H+, ‘gearing up alts’ was mentioned ONCE briefly. The ones saying it’s for alts are those who haven’t actually listened to the dev’s talk about it. Even when ‘gearing up alts’ was mentioned the ONE time briefly, they spoke about it in the context of 1 undergeared player getting carried by their guildmates, not an entire group of freshies tryna run it.
Even if we say it IS to gear up alts, a player choice to gatekeep players behind a GS wall is a fault with the playerbase, not the H+ system. As long as you have a group of decent people who pay attention, you can absolutely clear most H+ with 3.2+
it does help gear alts quicker. just not 5 at once, lol.
Everyone likes to troll on Fury warriors for raids… But if you want to clear H+ fast bring a Fury! They absolutely pump in 5 mans! Then they can carry a baby alt!
Pretty much, M+ kind of works in retail because the gear actually scales up enough.
H+ is just stupid, the only reason people do it is for the extra 3 badges and there’s no reason to take someone who actually needs the gear.
Honest question, was this given? It was my understanding that it was to provide a more accessible path to catch up to current content, but I didn’t interpret that as for gearing alts more quickly.
Yea this is so absurd lol. This isn’t a problem with H+ though, it’s a problem with people. If you happen to be on Pagle-Alliance and need a H+ buddy, I’m down to run with you. I just love dungeons! As long as you’re chill and don’t mind learning (because we won’t have 4600 gs lol), we’ll be just fine.
I actually quite like the idea of H+, but it’s not really what M+ on retail is. I’m pretty involved in that system and they are very different. You could almost think of H+ as just regular Mythic dungeons. The bad guys hit harder, there’s additional mechanics, and the loot is better.
This seems like a fun progression path for people who aren’t raiding, I’m glad they added it, and I’m stoked to progress through it on some lower geared characters with some friends.
outside of the dailies, there is hardly anyone queued on Ateish for either H or H+ and the ones that do are almost always dps.
I’ve found that warriors make the best tanks for H+ by a large margin- especially Blood of the Loa dungeons. Paladins tend to have more difficulty with mobility fights.
I knew I was wise for saying that
I personally make groups of only 3800+ gs and if its a little lower thats fine
Lol what? Who wants the old 10 man Naxx gear besides fresh alts? Yep my alt in 25 Naxx gear will be Ulduar ready cause of H+…
There’s definitely a cutoff but it’s not real clear. Most people just want to bang it out real quick for their badges and don’t want to have to carry bads. Bringing people who don’t have gear and also may not press buttons, sucks, makes it take way too long when you can just get good/geared people and finish it in <15 minutes.
