H+ incentive. WTF Blizzard

So what exactly is the point of having H+ zones? Blizzard apparently thinks that it will add some life to their game but at the end of the day, much like Diablo Immortal and most of their direction with classic up until now, it’s just another massive display of how Blizzard has NO IDEA what their community wants.

So not even discussing H+ difficulty which I think is honestly fine. People need to learn the mechanics and react accordingly and it can be done with people in normal heroic gear. I’ve been watching guild mates do it on heroic dungeon geared alts since the server has been up.

The biggest problem is the loot. There is literally ZERO incentive to do this content if you are already raid geared which is probably 98% of the server population currently, minus a few casuals that just don’t raid at all or people with new alts they weren’t doing MS/OS, GDKP or SR raids with their alts already.

You guys add 1 bag that drops and give 3 conquest badges, which is great. Then you make it to where only 1 person in the run can get it. This was annoying, but at least I thought you could do a guild group and just run 5 of these dungeons and everyone would get the bag.

Then we discovered that you only get the shot at ONE bag per DAY. The bag will only drop if you are doing the daily heroic. Since you are locked to the zone after you do the daily that means you get a 20% chance of getting a bag each day.

So there is a learning curve to doing these new dungeons even if you are max raid geared. Tiny mistakes can cause a wipe if you don’t understand the new mechanics and after you take the time to do this, and even if you don’t wipe due to the high HP values of everything in the zone it will take longer to do this content and have a 1 in 5 shot at a bag that at the end of the day is just badges and not actually a piece of loot.

What is the point of even doing this content other than to say you did it which takes 1 time per dungeon? Why do you guys not seem to understand that your players like to have some carrot at the end of the stick and get a little pissed when they finally catch the stick to realize the carrot was made of cardboard?

Do something about incentivizing this content for people who are already raid geared. Limiting the bag to one loot per day is enough. We should be allowed to run all the heroics in H+ until we either get a bag or run out of dungeons for the day…

TLDR; Leave the bag at one loot per day but make it drop in ALL H+, not just the daily heroic…

And every run in LFD has the note, “bag on res”.
Because what does a community do when they learn not everybody wins?
Automatically push the others down out of some desire to ‘be the best’.

But in the end, it was those design pillars that created this opportunity.

Simple solution(s) to this is either don’t join or make your own run.

Note: this doesn’t surprise me at all in people doing that.

It’d be a huge deterrent for me though if it happened. If I were tanking/healing and I see it suddenly switch to ML, I’ll be dropping group mid pull and they can fend for themselves.

I think you miss the point. It’s not new content for raiders. It’s another catchup gimmick. P1 raids are no longer necessary to farm, as the drops are in heroic+. These can done every day with 5p, as opposed to once per week with 10 or 25p. If you already have the gear, then you need not bother.

It should and very well can be new content for EVERYONE is what I’m getting at.

Except the extra badges are specifically to entice people who already do have the gear and would otherwise just do a normal heroic. Having it be a open role instead of just for everyone kind of kills that. And that will drastically limit the amount of people interested in it if it’s just for people who need naxx 10 gear.

new content for raiders is ulduar.

I personally am enjoying the H+ dungeons. I’m glad that they changed the bag so that everyone gets it from the H+ daily. It’s fun to actually get in there and see how players react to things. I’ve had groups that have wiped repeatedly and everyone stuck it out with newer tanks or dps who didn’t quite understand it. Heck, one of the funniest reactions was a tank making a weak aura on the fly for the ice in H+UK and it had a funny teeth chattering sound when you’re standing in it.

Our guild runs them as groups for the most part, but sometimes you have to pug. But it’s nice getting everyone in the guild together to keep up with doing them and helping each other get badges and learning the new mechanics (which honestly aren’t that hard all things considered – especially if you ever did M+ dungeons in retail).

And the extra badges help buy heirlooms for my bajillion alts I run. To each their own.

I too do quite be enjoyin the Heroic plus doonguns.

1 shot party wiping mechanics I thought were a thing of only retail but clearly they want to add them to WoTLK dungeons. Basically takes the fun out of it. I don’t care what you say, running back over and over and corpse running is not a fun experience.
