Because the Population metric is more important.
Come to think of it, I can’t recall seeing any GY camping at 120 either.
Not even in WSG or Twin Peaks, and I’m still pre-30 honor level. Maybe it’s just because I’ve only done 43 BGs with campable GYs, so maybe I’ve just lucked out 43 times in a row.
…Then again, 60 BGs on my leveling mage and I’ve seen it easily 10+ times.
The amount of casuals and levelers far exceeds the bracket campers, which means doing what’s best for their experience in leveling is where the money is at.
It does happen, I’ve seen it but notice how people say “it happens at 120 too” instead of “it happens just as much or more at 120.” It’s meant as a distraction.
EDIT: But I’m sure someone will now say that just because I said this
This may have something to do with it, more experienced PVP players have a much better understanding of Battleground situations.
More experience = Killer Instinct.
Lower brackets have always had more GY camping opportunities.
ok, find me a link to this population metric please, its a very vague term and it could go either way.
MTX is where the money is at currently IMO.
“Twinking” and gearing of 120s through various means clearly supports this.
“Twinking” litterally adds MTX to areas of the game that would not be otherwise viable sources of MTX sales.
Twinking supporting MTX is another pretty good reason to dislike the practice, imo.
Might not be the best argument in support of twinking to make there.
It is quite rare, between this expansion and the last I think I have seen one EotS and two WSG.
For the record, I was on the winning side in the EotS, dropped into an already lost end game for the two WSG.
That is modern business in the gaming industry.
Hate it or love it.
how do micro transactions help twinks?
Wow tokens are essentially just buying gold.
Jwl, the guy in that other thread with loads of BiS twinks, has said he’s bought loads of wow tokens for twinking.
oh, so they can buy the BiS items from the auction house.
Indeed, which really promotes the economy.
Some of the rarest most expensive items are bought completely through WoW tokens. Long-boi, Plundered Weapons etc.
You would be surprised on how common these major sales are obtained solely through Tokens.
so twinks actually are a pay to win bracket. Another reason its bad.
This game is pay to win.
if it can be bought in the AH then it can be farmed. I just pay for my subscription and do not get all of those items. If I used real life money to buy wow tokens to buy BiS then the whole game would, but I sure dont.
So basically Kang is saying that they spend a lot of money to buy items in game, so they deserve to be able to ruin other peoples game time. Because they spend money.
Spending $20 can sure make your fresh 120 a viable entry force in PVP within a few minutes.
Time is money.
