can I ask you, if AI was as good as levelers, would you consider AI characters to fill a que? Or is it more meaningful to you to gy stomp new players and demoralize them where they do not want to pvp anymore.

7.3.5 only nerfed heirlooms from levels 1 to 10-15ish. That patch rescaled and squished the stats on every piece of gear in the game. Non-heirloom gear lost the same amount of stats, but people only looked at the difference on heirlooms because it helped them complain about leveling being harder.

They used to be significantly stronger than blues, now they have the same stats. They were nerfed and you will never see someone in full heirlooms with 2x hp as a new player. Now compare twinks to new players…

They were better than your random average blues, but not the best available ones.

That patch actually nerfed dungeon gear for twinks pretty hard. There were a lot of unique items and drops with suffixes that took a fair bit of grinding to farm. All of it was modernized into your run of the mill main stat/stam/2 secondaries (or just secondaries for jewelry) that scales with ilevel. In 7.3.5 suffixes stayed on old gear, but they were all removed 8.0.

Heirlooms (especially enchanted ones) are still a huge advantage over new players, and pretty similar to the gear that twinks wear in lower brackets. Unfortunately low level BGs will be an awful experience for new players no matter what. The biggest difference to them between fully equipped and experienced levelers and twinks is that twinks are a lot more likely to be group queuing.

I just stepped out of a level 19s bracket BG, some players were literally draped in White starter gear sitting at 510hp. Level 10-17 without one piece of green quest gear. :face_with_head_bandage:
My hp@13 is 1330 in the BG, compared to that 500.
Outside of the 110 craziness, this would be the only bracket where I have seen such disparity. (No questing for them I guess, just queue.)

Just was in a bg where our team steam rolled them back to the gy.

Was a disc furi war combo that pushed them back.
