Guys who play as female characters? Got a question

A male playing a female toon is normal.

A male RPing a female toon is a gateway to doing it IRL.

Um how so...

IRL one look at you and people know what gender you are. Usually.

Hey, guess what? I'm a male player that RPs and ERPs as a female character. If the people that I am playing with have a problem with that, then that is their problem, not mine.

If your guild really kicked you because they thought your Alliance alt ERPs, then that guild was not worth being a part of.

Do you tell the people that you are doing it with that you are a dude?

Many would rather not know and just kind of pretend I am female irl.

  • Speaking of so, is Lucindianna opened to any contracts? I wish to hire.
  • More info?

Because practice makes perfect, and humans like what they are good at.
Once got hit on in the harbour

    /cast vanish and sprinted away

He started yelling for me to come back to him but someone else yelled back a mournful response and then the whole harbour erupted in flirting and breakup yells. Was pretty funny even though I'm never prepared for someone to be attracted to my goofy furry muffintop

    If they ask, yes.

Never 1 problem. Most alts are female cows. When wow launched the camera angle only allowed you so much screen. Fat male druids were to hard to see around for me.

has alot to do with what people you are around. there will always be people who do things against better judgement. now if you rp as a seducer, don’t be surprised if people rp as if seduced.

It’s common for players to hate on this type of thing because plenty of men hide behind a screen and claim to be a woman.

I returned from Wrath, just before BfA. I decided to start fresh (aside from account-wide stuff, which I activated by logging into my old toons just the once) on a new server.

For no particular reason, I made a female toon (I’m male IRL). Sometimes I ‘just feel like it’, or my last toon was the other sex, there are fewer females of XYZ race/class and I want to be a tiny bit less usual, or it just seems to fit the vibe I have for the toon.

I’m guessing I’ve probably made more female toons in MMORPGs than men. I can’t say it ever bothered me. It has troubled a few other players in the distant past, but they were usually fools who didn’t understand what the RP in MMORPG means, or were suffering from crippling insecurity of some sad pathetic kind. I don’t put any stock in the opinions of people like that.

Now, from my point of view, the only time RPing a female toon becomes unethical, is when you actively mislead another person by playing on their emotions. I don’t mean accepting favours from idiots who believe they’re charming a girl. If some jackass wants to do something for me beyond what they would if they knew I was a male IRL, then that’s their foolish mistake. I mean stuff like soliciting real affection from another person when you and/or they have no genuine interest in them as a real person.

So long as you were not doing that, I think your old guild are pretty stupid and you’re almost certainly better off without them.

The filth of moon guards erp trash scene has contaminated everyone else’s expectations on the server.

    Your crippling insecurity is showing.

    Great answer! :grinning:

IMHO, there’s no “Stigma” around males playing females at all (It’s kinda common given many games star females)

In your case OP, I think you just joined a guild with strange opinions on the sex of your toons and you’ve taken “this small group of people” to be “everyone”.

Spoiler: They are not. Ultimately most people don’t care whose behind the toon. It’s, you know, a game, lol.

    Hello
Interesting question, as soon as i read the title i knew i had to answer.
So, yes i ALWAYS play a female character, in almost every game i play. It’s not a problem, at least not in WoW as far as i’ve seen. Like in real life i dress my toon as i’m pleased.
Now from my experience, if it becomes a problem most of the time it comes from the player himself : dressing his toon like a stripper and basically being stupid with others

Other than that you can quickly see anyway who is a real ‘She’ in life with a quick discussion. Girls are smarter let’s not forget that  For example as a beginner in wow most of the real girls / ladies in game were much more helpful / understanding / patient / respectful / S M A R T with me at the beginning

When i played D3 it was the same, FF the same etc

Your first mistake was playing on Moonguard.
