Gushing Wound Corruption

I’m curious if I’m missing something. I have an item my Ooey-Gooey Galoshes (feet) that have procc’d with Gushing Wound on them. On the character tab in game, the dmg done is listed at 17416. However on the WoW Armory the dmg is listed at 23674. I haven’t changed any gear, and it was left over night. Why are the values different? Anyone else notice this? Or, as mentioned above, am I just missing something?

For item discussion it would probably be better to take it to General Discussion or even Dungeons, Raids & Scenarios. Unfortunately, we don’t have an item discussion forum.

That said, according to wowhead:

Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to cause your target to ooze blood, dealing 91% of Attack or Spell power damage over 7 sec.
+15 Corruption

My guess is that the Armory is calculating a higher Attack or Spell power than what your character has. You do seem to be wearing different leggings than what is listed on the Armory at the moment, though I would think the numbers would be higher in-game because of that fact.

If you believe it is a bug, either with the display in-game or with the Armory display, please submit a bug report either in the Bug Report forum or the Website Bug Report forum respectively.

Gushing wounds was nerfed by 15% at some point between corruptions releasing and now. Could it be that the in-game tooltip is using the nerfed damage, and the armory page is using the unnerfed damage?

(Granted, 17416 / .85 =/= 23674… It equals 20,489, leaving 3285 additional unexplained damage)
