Gundrak Blood Affix - change it to Sanguine visual from retail

Really hard to see it.
Not to mention its not very reactive - like, takes 1-2 for the buff to drop.

DnD from DKs makes it even worse.

Gotta make it easier to see.

Also 100% lifesteal, not 10000% boss healed for like 400k hitting 20k-30k…

they also get a stacking buff that increases the amount they heal the longer they are in a blood rune. so they get 100% life steal, along with increased healing received.

Yeah I know but the stacking debuff is insanely fast, you left the boss 1-2 seconds and it gains a stupid amount of stacks

Mechanic: Pools of Loa blood

Expectation: Solid pool of scarlet liquid on the ground with defined edges

Reality: Sparse red particle cloud of questionable size

That thing is invisible if you’re playing on low settings for whatever reason.

This is what I came across too. A boss with 2 stacks in a pool of 100% lifesteal (10% increased healing) would instantly go back to 100% hp. It’s like a 3k auto was healing it for 300k.

Totally agree that the visibility of the blood effect needs to be ramped up. It is very hard to see and I run the graphics at 100%.

Also revisiting how and when the blood affect activates on certain bosses too. Poison nova on boss 1 in gundrak springs to mind, an uninterruptable spell cast so you cant move the boss and bam blood effect pops and the boss is now at 100% due to no fault of the group.

Or the third boss bam blood effect when he stuns the entire group and oh look boss is back at 100% due to no fault of the group.

Bump, this is still a buggy and horrible affix. Bosses going from 20%-100% in one melee with 2 stacks of Blood of Loa, these bosses would have to hit for 400k for the math to check out on that one.

Best is the Rhino boss in Gundrak.
If he so happens to AOE right after he spawns the pool, he just is back to 100%, and you cant outplay this whatsoever.
Gotta love abilitys that dont relate to skill, just RNG.

Yeah, like, add the graphical warning for Hodir’s icicles under it so that it’s at least easy to tell where the edge is, and a death and decay doesn’t make it actually invisible.

Noticing there’s a mechanic happening at all shouldn’t be part of the difficulty.

  1. Just get a weakaura that shows when the target has the buff. It’s not hard.

  2. Most of the problem is how buggy the whole thing is. I’ve seen mobs INSTANTLY get 4+ stacks of the buff less than a second after the puddle spawns. It’s broken as hell and makes me wonder how it made it to live while still being this broken and buggy.

and yeah it would be nice if bosses got a hard limit on the amount they can heal from it in a single hit

It also can take a couple seconds for the buff to drop so even if you’re continuously kiting mobs out of the blood they can still hit you with the buff and heal up. This is particularly a problem for mobs with large hit boxes(like a lot of bosses).
