None of what you posted are blizzard statements, despite what you’re obviously implying.

You can go back and look at my previous posts. I always bring receipts to prove what I’m saying is accurate/honest. That said… I’m not going to go back 3 years looking for blue posts on the forums to try and win a debate.
The fact is, anybody that was playing during TBC will remember the /4 crackdown. They were chat suspending players who were selling boosts in LFG, Guild recritment in LFG, Political talk and other nonsense… It was only enforced for a month or so… but it was nice while it lasted.
Ummm… Nah.

Which makes the question of why you now refuse that much bigger.

Do whatever you want. If you catch a chat suspension for being reported for posting in LFG, maybe you can post in the customer support forums, too.

LFG = Looking For Guild.
Guild recruitmeant is looking for players to play group content on a permanent bases it belongs in the LFG channel the same as looking for people on a one time bases for raids aka pugs.

If the same people keep posting guild recruitment in LFG, they clearly aren’t being suspended for it.
If that changes maybe we’ll get to see a genuine blizzard post stating their position and you won’t have to disingenuously imply you’re linking blizzard posts when you’re not.

That isn’t exactly evidence that suggests that /LFG isn’t meant for forming groups right now by posters on characters who are intending to be part of those groups.
It may well be evidence that people don’t always follow the intended use for specific channels.
I don’t think most people really care enough to report others, and I didn’t personally even know about all the supposed /LFG intended uses until receiving a chat suspension for posting raid recruitment for a different day.
Of course, if I’m wrong that’s great! And if you are somehow able to appeal your own chat suspension after reading the customer support forum posts that claim they are telling the truth and would be removed or moderated if they weren’t true, because those forums are heavily moderated, then that’s wonderful!

Besides anyone can simply expand the quote to see your full comment with the quoted portion highlighted.
So don’t dishonestly pretend I’m hiding something. Otherwise some people might suspect you of being a liar. 
Furthermore, the fact that you expect others to do what you refuse to do, is somewhat hypocritical. Especially considering that you’re in a much better position to recall what you saw 3 years ago than literally anyone else.

LFG is for CURRENT groups that are filling not future runs!!!
Does anyone else find it strange people are allegedly directed to a third party app to recruit for guild, yet there are 2 places allegedly delegated for finding pugs, leaving zero for guild recruitment?
Seems really sus and contrary to the game itself. Almost as if it isn’t something they intend.

Well in Vanilla and TBC guilds recruited in Trade back when we didnt have discord and used vent
It makes much more sense to use /4 since it’s a global channel for grouping than it does to use /2 which is meant for trading.

You can rant and rage all you like about LFG being for “cUrReNt GrOuPs OnLy”. It doesn’t change the fact that there’s little if any enforcement of what YOU want/expect.
I’ll reiterate, since you seem to have missed it:
- I have seen the same people posting guild recruitment over many days.
- So even if it is blizz policy, they don’t seem to be enforcing it.
- Which contradicts the person I replied to … who gave dire warnings of possible suspension.
- THEREFORE I replied:

When you manage to calm down, take this to heart: It does not matter what you “want” or “believe” or even “demand” the LFG channel should be used for. What matters is what blizzard decides.
And another thing I’ll reiterate:
- The LFG tool has many more features than LFG channel.
- I’m surprised you’d want to still use it. Let alone get so worked up about it.
- But you’re free to use it if you prefer it.
- Though surely it’s not nearly as busy since the LFG tool was added.
- So yet again, it’s puzzling why people are getting worked up about it.
lol blizz already stated that LFG is meant for group finding and that in proper use of the channel will result in actions against the account
You mean future groups as 5 minutes later is the future. The same as a group recruiting at 6 pm for 8 pm is recruiting for a future group followed by a guild recruiting people for a group repeatably in the future.

It’s very busy actually, people looking for raiders or raid spots. People looking for pvp groups, people looking for groups to Q for dungeons or for CoC. It’s consantly being spammed on my server. And it’s hard to see people actually looking for groups when you have what honestly seems like bots spamming guild recruitment every minute all day every day with a huge wall of text for their guild advertisement.
I don’t think anybody is “worked up” about it. A few of us just stated that we would love to see it cleaned up. That’s far from “worked up”.
It could be construed to mean Looking For Guild as well, I suppose. “LFG”
But it’s super annoying in trade chat, especially when there’s a conversation going on that doesn’t involve Thunderfury or a*al (insert random ability here).
yeah but trade was the OG posting for guild and back in the day people didnt spam there guild for hours on end they would do a spam every 10-15 mins now you have people who just spam to spam
